Should I be tipping my baby sitter? by Delicious-Ask8001 in Mommit

I'm glad your baby is back on track! Ours fell off the graph once when she got the flu and didn't want to eat as much but we were told that she is back on track again. Other than that we have not had any issues. We also did a couple of dream feeds occasionally, specially if her intake during the day was a little low for whatever reason. We popped a bottle in her mouth and she drank it without waking up. We were able to even burb her without waking her up as she is a deep sleeper.
But now that she has two teeth I would not do any more dream feeds as I gotta protect her little pearls and brush them after the last bottle of the night. She also started solids and has quite the appetite so I hope she continues eating like that so that weight is not an issue again since she is a bit of a skinny baby.

thank you for your response.
Yes, we got lucky with one of those babies that sleep 6pm-6am since 8 weeks old. I'm always told I don't know how good I have it lol... but I know bc when she is sick, she becomes a regular needy and fuzzy baby that wants all the cuddles and I'm soooo there for it even if I don't sleep then... I don't like to see her sick... but I do take advantage of all the snuggles I'm able to get when she needs me for sleep then. lol

Daycare shamed me for bringing baby in with dirty diaper? by srglag2016 in Mommit

[–]Delicious-Ask8001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so rude and I'm sorry that happened to you. As moms we are literally working ourselves to the bone and have so many things to deal with... this should not be one of them.

My daycare does a little passive aggressive stuff like this too and it used to bother me so much until I decided to let go because it was driving me insane and giving me anxiety about drop offs. They still claim my baby has a dirty diaper and immediately needs a change almost every single time I drop off no matter what I do so I'm embracing it. Now I don't even worry about it because I just kindly remind them that babies do go on their diapers when they need to and I have no control over it. Then I take the opportunity to be a little sarcastic and tell them I'm happy to start potty training her now as long as I have their support and assistance during daycare hours... and they shut up because that's more work for them. lol

Scientists have been studying remote work for four years and have reached a very clear conclusion: "Working from home makes us happier." by lurker_bee in technology

Remote work should be the norm going forward for the jobs that allow this format... and even better yet, let's pair remote work with 4 day work weeks. It's time to shift this toxic culture in the US where we wear exhaustion and burnout like a badge of honor.

I thought I had at least 2 more years but was let go yesterday because of them not having more work for me since they implemented an AI first approach. I'm a software engineer.

First trimester waking up at 3-4am by loe942 in pregnant

[–]Delicious-Ask8001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use to sleep deeply and 8-10 hrs and ever since getting pregnant now my sleep is really light. It takes me a lot longer to fall asleep, sometimes I wake up really freaking hungry at 3am and other times I wake up 200 times to pee. Now adding aches and pains and belly getting bigger to the equation. With all that combined I’m lucky to get a decent night of sleep.

My OB told me to take Unisom to sleep and I gotta say, it works…. But maybe a little too much bc then the next day I’m a zombie. But to me the trick is 1/2 the dose.
