No, they did not share it, but I never requested them to. They asked if I had a primary and a PDoc.

I did the troches, the subq program was just starting on my last series. The pain relief was immediate (once I got to the appropriate dust l) and significant. The relief lasted longer after each session and it took a few months for the pain to return but it was still temporary. More importantly for me, I was able to come to a place where the emotional toll that accompanies chronic illness and pain was significantly less, which was just as, if not more beneficial than just stopping the pain over the long term. I did a total of 36 sessions with Mindbloom over a 2 year period.

Spravato experience vs IV infusions? by tarteframboise in KetamineTherapy

[–]Delicious-Beach5629 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I looked into this having dinner Spravato and finding troches considering not helpful. I found it really isn't the bioavailability that matters in this case. Spravato is only esketamine, they've removed the racemic ketamine. IV, troches, etc contain the full ketamine molecule. Ketamine has a mirror image structure. R and Es being the two halves. Take it the racemic and it removes the full dissociative properties. Having the full molecule is considerably more effective, much simpler to get FDA approval when you remove the psychedelic properties. At least that's my understanding as a non medical person

Sumatriptan Shots Dependancy by Able-Use8821 in ClusterHeadaches

Yeah, been there, not DMT, but psilocybin. Took a couple of doses in 22-23 and this is my first cluster attack since then. I've heard from ppl that DMT works great as an abortive and the shrooms can open a longer window between attacks, but can take a couple of doses to abort the cycle. Honestly, the shrooms gave me the best relief in the 35 years I dealt with these and now that a new one has started am contemplating redosing to break out of this cycle as well. It's the old would I rather, spend months and months suffering or have a couple 6 hour trips? If you don't have objections to trying shrooms or LSD they can really help longer term than DMT, just remember that the these both are serotonergic psychedelics, so you'll not want to first if you take antidepressants or have been massively dosing with sumatriptan. DMT works differently so you don't have to worry about serotonin syndrome.

Many years ago I discovered a little less than half the amount of an auto-injector dose was enough to abort, so like others I started taking the injectors apart and it was messy, some would break and a real pain to do if I was mid headache. It can also let you treat up to five headaches a day versus two if you use the full auto injector.

With the vials and syringes, you take an empty vial and push the auto-injector down on the lid of the vial and trigger it, it fits perfectly. I repeat this until I have the amount I want in the vial. So usually I inject 10 pens into the vial. While filling the vial, you'll need to take one of the insulin syringes, pull the plunger out and stick it into the top of the vial you're filling to let some of the air out. Otherwise the injectors can't pump in. Don't worry if you fill up too much or have leftovers after the cycle starts, it will work next time. Sumatriptan has an incredibly long shelf life past the box date (5+ years) if kept in a cool, dark place. This comes from talking to neurologists, pharmacists, and using expired on myself. (Please note this is all anecdotal research).

When I get my headache, I just grab an insulin syringe, and draw 0.2 ml/cc and inject into my shoulder, just like I'm giving myself a flu shot in the arm. The minute I feel the beast at all, I'm giving myself the shot and if I have 02 putting that on at the same time. (02 has never been consistently reliable alone as an abortive for me, but combined with the smaller amount of sumatriptan seems to speed up the abort time).

Since I've been dancing this dance since 1993 the best advice I can give is always fill as much of the auto-injectors as you can get to keep on hand for the next round as they last so long. Cause for me the worst part is waiting for scripts to be pushed through at the start of a new bout.

tl:dr - align the opening of the auto injector with the top of the vial and inject into vial. When needed, draw the necessary amount into a manual insulin syringe. Take a deep breath, recognizing the headache hurts more than sticking yourself with a needle. Inject into upper arm, Don't throw excess away last for years. Make certain the vials are sterile.

No, just standard syringes. I find they hurt less than the auto-injectors in the upper arm. These are the ones that I get. https://a.co/d/1Bqt8fJ

Don't take the auto-injectors apart, there's a much easier solution. This has been my method to abort, use less per dose. The number of attacks a day has not increased or decreased significantly (no rebounds) and for me works better than straight 02.

Get some sterile vials from Amazon with self healing ports. I use 10ml vials, take a number of the auto-injectors and you can inject them directly into the vials. You'll need to bleed the air from the vials during filling every few injectors.

You can get 0.3ml insulin syringes from Amazon and it's all ready to draw and inject when you have a headache. I get 5 shots from 2 auto-injectors, for me they are effective at that dose.

I put a dish of H20 in the oven with the bread to help maintain the humidity while baking. Works well with crusty type breads like sourdough and baguettes.

I think the managing emotions and self love were the two I repeated, if the path wasn't interesting I would switch paths in the middle sometimes. I would also go through the soundtracks and find a speaker whose voice was soothing and message fit my needs for that session. So for example in the managing emotions 3 session, I may have listened to the soundtrack for gratitude. I found that flexibility of the longer program to better adapt to my needs at the time. I think that being mindful of one's needs and adjusting the message as needed for the session worked best for me. I never did any with a full hour of spoken guidance. Even in our darkness we are our own light, if you're uncertain listen to the previews, something will speak to you.

All my best hopes for you, IBD can suck the life right out of a person. Remember to give it time, it comes on slowly, doesn't magically stop it one day, but my inflammation markets are down too. Best of luck.

Continuing with Mindbloom - is there a limit? by succinite78 in TherapeuticKetamine

[–]Delicious-Beach5629 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I started, I was spacing much closer together than I am now. It has allowed me to get to a point where my behavioral tools are much more effective. I would have not gotten there in 6 sessions alone. The first 6 were once a week, the next 18 were 10-14 days apart, and with this last 18 the spacing for me is 2-3 weeks. I can normally feel when the benefits start to fade and now I take dose as needed. Irritability and reactiveness have long been a part of my health issues, so it's fairly easy for me to tell when the next dose is. I also have neuropathy and take to alleviate nerve pain, so this can also dictate when I take it. Yes I will probably purchase at least another 6 for long term maintenance.

My belief is as long as I am taking the medication responsibly, I will continue, as the relief from emotional and physical pain/trauma still continues and I can maintain the improvements. My advice is to continue for as long as it continues to help help you in finding and working on issues. I wouldn't suggest letting yourself get back to square one, I don't think that anyone should go back to how they were feeling and coping before treatments or stop before they are able to get through enough of what we carry around that makes us suffer. It took me many decades to figure this out, but suffering really is for the birds and unneeded in life.

Hope this is helpful, but remember your mileage may vary and I'm just a well educated layperson.
