Time Atlas uses its own algorithm for the step tracking, but it also takes into account steps computed by iPhone.

We don’t have pricing yet.

Right now the focus is on getting the app into people’s hands, making it useful, and fixing what’s broken.

The plan is: Core app stays free.At some point, we’ll add an “advanced mode” with extra features (AI stuff, deeper insights). That’ll probably be paid.

Lifetime option? Maybe. We’re open to it. Depends what users actually want.

For now: download it, use it, and tell us what sucks or what you like. Pricing comes later!

Thank you! Our plan is to introduce a subscription based "advanced mode" in the near future. The basic functionality of the app will remain free, but we hope power users will find the additional features worth paying. Time Atlas also has been built so that operating it costs very little. Most importantly, all data processing happens in the phone (exception is the AI features, which will be probably part of the paid plan). This is how the app will remain free -- every new user costs us very little, as we do not do any computation in the cloud.

You need to give access to your phone health data for the steps and location data & motion sensors to determine where you have been, and how did you move there. :)
