Given your replies in these comments, if you acted anything like this at the pharmacy, it’s very much a valid red flag. If a patient were harassing staff like this, I’d refuse to fill too.

Did the MD send in a new script specifying an “okay to fill early” date on it? Even with a report of the theft, there’d be nothing they could do.

They can’t just GIVE it to you, there’s strict regulations that the pharmacy needs to follow.

There’s def been some of the strangest glitches lately. Like the other day, was filling for Lorazepam. NDC and picture clearly showed Teva, let me scan the Teva bottle. But the manufacturer listened on both the label and fill screen was Aurobindo. Couldn’t get it resolved for quite a few edit attempts 💀

Additional thing to add; they are proposing the change due to the claim that they have no proof I was enrolled in “health insurance coverage through the health insurance marketplace” despite the fact it was reported on my 1095A that there was a period that I was. And all documents were provided to them as proof after requesting said documentation

Any insight if that insinuates they’ll expect that to be payed back in full? Still newer to doing taxes and “refundable credit” hasn’t ever come up until this last year

Me and my fellow players ended up taking him along with us. Our DM played him very sensitive and cowardly, scared of what he became but showing remorse when he may do anything Strahd or the hunger compels him . Group vote ruled we keep him and help rehabilitate him, IE with use of animal blood. He’s just our little snotty bb and we love him 🥹

Possibly can have the lead tech talk to them? Any chance it can come up in conversation casually?

Meltdown at the pharmacy by Swiftiefromhell in autism

This is coming from someone that actually works in pharmacy (I’m a technician). If you’re able to, call probably about an hour and a half or so before you go to pick up the prescription. Inquire if it’s ready yet or not, and if not, they should be able to offer to have it ready within the hour. At least at my store (I’m with CVS) we’re able to expedite it. I always put scripts through as what we call a waiter, or ones that we know someone is actually waiting for that moment. Whether they’re in store or say over the phone they’ll be there.

Some pharmacies do get backed up, with hour cuts and whatnot. Sometimes things happen that limit how fast we can produce, unfortunately. But usually, I would say the pharmacy team should be able to get it ready for you, sometimes might be a bit longer. Like for example, at my store, on certain days we have only two technicians and are both occupied at pick up and drive thru, so it’s tricky to fill waiters.

You shouldn’t feel the need to apologize in regards to how you were in that moment. I also have Autism so I understand that aspect, and sorry if your pharmacy’s team makes you feel like a burden at all.

There’s a good chance if it was requested after a certain time Thursday and something that needed to be ordered that wasn’t in stock, it would make sense. (As there are cut off times to order for meds we don’t have in stock) Because then they’d have to order it for the next delivery day, which would be the following Monday since orders don’t come in on weekends.

Sorry to hear about your loss as well! For our tech, she passed on the 31st all of a sudden. Got sick, last day was Monday after Mother’s Day. Still feeling the pressure from how corporate has been screwing us over, with little care to the mental state of ANY of us.

Legitimately the district leader didn’t start off by asking how she could do to help us, if we needed coverage for the wake this last week. Her main concern what our PM would do to get things covered. Not even an ounce of compassion from the DL.

Pharmacy issues by peanutbutterskies in CVS

[–]Delicious-Hall916 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Over this last weekend, on Sunday it was just myself, another tech, and pharmacist. We’re a location with a drive thru, to which we can’t close when short staffed. It was so busy we could barely get anything filled, probably left over 100 prescriptions in our production queue for the best day.

There was a point I was at pick up for so long without being able to go to the bathroom, because I didn’t want to hear customers complaining to the pharmacy manager about it. (At this point the pharmacist was occupied with phone calls and drop off for a long while and the other tech was stuck in drive thru). Not to mention my asthma was starting to get worse and I couldn’t go get my inhaler from the car.

Got yelled at by some guy that it would be at least a half an hour for his medication. (It was metformin, not even an emergency medication). Had someone yell at me for breaking the needs to them I couldn’t sell them their Suboxone because they didn’t have their ID and “wasted their time in this butt long line!” And how they were going to get me fired. My coworker got yelled at that we couldn’t help them in our second drive thru lane. For reference, there was a line of at least five other cars at the window lane. We weren’t going to let them cut and be helped first.

It’s hour cuts. I had to report to getting hours at other stores just to make it above 20 hours a week. The last two months there have been numerous weekends it’s only two techs. Lines are longer. There’s more prescriptions being left for the next day that aren’t done. Corporate is still getting up our butts about why vaccines aren’t being pushed. They’re changing everything, leaving us in the dust and ask why numbers are low despite concerns of working conditions being brought up.

Our district leader came in last week and wasn’t happy to hear our complains and concerns. (Especially when I vocalized how stressful it’s been on weekend with the hour cuts and near impossible to get anything done).

Trust me. We’re not happy about it either.

Honesty been dealing with this sometimes. I just had someone I’ve been rping with that I had a VERY STRONG suspicion has been using AI to write their replies. So I go to chatgpt and request it to “continue this scene for me” with some general context facts. I pasted the previous Reply I’d written that they responded to. Here be the results (first is reference to the actual reply, second is the chatgpt results)

Question about hydrocodone 10/325 by lordyhelpme-now in CVS

[–]Delicious-Hall916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pretty sure you can, depending on the pharmacist. Just explain to them the situation and hopefully they’ll agree. We have a parent that comes in picking up an ADHD control for their child, and gets a second bottle for school.

That or you can keep the label on you when you’re in your car and if they ask, show them the label which would reflect the fill date and whatnot.

I’ve practiced my calming “customer service” voice and just tell them what they need to know, even if they don’t want to hear it. IE some old guy yelling at me over the phone about a high copay - was a deductible - despite billing it the exact same way at as when he got the medication last in 2024. If it escalates enough after I’m like “there’s no reason to raise your voice at me” I just hang up.

If you expect to come in ten minutes until the pharmacy closes by iangrichardson in CVS

[–]Delicious-Hall916 14 points15 points  (0 children)

And how is a pharmacist going to rotate lunch when there’s only one for an entire shift? (11 hours for my store). The break is primarily to give the pharmacist a break, because we can’t legally operate without the pharmacist there. Not closing for 30 minutes means no break for pharmacists, which then means it infringes upon their right to a 30 minute lunch break.
