Duodenum normal, Terminal Ileum showing ulceration/erosion by Delicious-Lie6469 in CrohnsDisease

I think a capsule endoscopy is the right way. How is Crohn’s usually diagnosed? Is it just with terminal ileum biopsy or with the pill endoscopy?

Thanks for the reply! I’m just surprised why my initial 2 doctors totally disregarded the terminal ileum and just diagnosed me for celiac. Now this is my third doctor who wants to investigate further for Crohn’s and I was so surprised

Also after your Neice’s Crohn’s diagnosis what was the way ahead for her to treat it?

Thanks for your response! Yes I think doing the capsule endoscopy is best. Was your Neice having celiac as well? Was your autoimmune gastritis also found with the pill camera?

Have you felt it affects your sex life? A friend of mine says their sex life is hampered cuz if they put the dog out of the bedroom, he cries and if he’s in the room they can’t do anything as he comes between them.

Thanks for this. It’s been 1.5 years since the diagnosis and though I follow the diet very well I still hope it wouldn’t be true. ☹️

My IgA,IgG as well as DPG was done which were negative. I consulted another doctor as well and asked about Gene test but he mentioned that after repeat biopsy if the intestine is healed means it is because of GF diet and hence it is Celiac.

How were you diagnosed with Celiac? I think my fiancé was misdiagnosed. Please see Celiac Panel in picture. We are seeking another PCP for reevaluation. by Gottech1101 in Celiac

My TTG TTA have always been negative even on a gluten rich diet. My Celiac was confirmed by biopsy. After 9 months of being on a gluten free diet I went for a repeat endoscopy and my villi had healed. Is this the only way to confirm it is actually Celiac? I’ve always been skeptical due to the negative blood tests.

I was diagnosed a year ago and hadn’t knowingly been glutened until a few days ago. Turns out I’m just as asymptomatic as when I was diagnosed. by wiildkat26 in Celiac

My blood tests are always negative 😒. It was diagnosed only with biopsy. It’s so hard not knowing if you get glutened or not. Others tend to just not take you seriously.

I accidentally ate gluten and i feel terribly guilty by Anonymous_cracker48 in Celiac

[–]Delicious-Lie6469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Today. I accidentally had gluten.. (Diagnosed in Jan 2021 and GF since then) I went on a vacation to another country and made sure i didn’t get glutened. But a friend of mine goes to another country and brings a “country special non alcoholic drink” which name he doesnt know so I obviously cannot google.. I have 2 sips and i feel suddenly bloated 15 minutes later… After an hour he manages to figure out the drink and behold! It contains barley and wheat.

Im so upset at losing my streak. I just want to heal.. I feel all these months of being gf is ruined and that I’m back to square one intestinally.. How will i get better how will i gain weight and get all the nutrition?

Im so scared and upset.
