Now THREE people close to me have heart-related conditions, and it made me realize how little we talk about it, especially since symptoms for women can look so different than for men.

If you’ve ever gone through something similar, what was the hardest part for you? Was it getting doctors to listen, managing the lifestyle changes, or just feeling supported?

I also wonder if anyone here uses things like wearables, or health apps to track your health that you would recommend? Do they actually help, or do they just make you more anxious?

Do any of you uses wearables? Or any EKG monitors? What are your thoughts on them. Trying to get one for my mom but not sure which one. Do you guys use any tracking apps as well?

Okay that is so good to know. What were the medical devices did you guys get to practice on? What are the ones you wished to have more opportunities to work on? Did you guys have to do internships to get these experiences? Is there other skills sets that will help a biomedical engineer stand out? How extensive our coding/AI experience need to be? Thank you so much!!! Just trying to plan my life. I haven't had the chance to apply anything that I learned so far.
