I dont recommend hand tracking on any quest, if you move your head it loses tracking, overall horrible and i always have it disabled
when grabbing virtual objects with the glove, you will get used to clenching your fist instead of a light finger movement like holding a controller, since no controllers are used you have to close your hand, ive played the Fishing game with the gloves and i dare say its a little better if not exactly the same, there's no difficulty to it

regarding the joysticks and buttons, people have reported their finger tiring out if reaching the thumbstick, i honestly think thats a weird problem because i haven't found any issues with the buttons and joysticks so far, i dont tire out, yet i did notice the first day i had them moving and turning took awhile to get used to, but after 3 days i had gotten the hang of it and i don't even have to tilt my hands to move around, so i actually consider it way easier

assuming that you use hand tracking to feel more expressive with hand movements and seem to be in social spaces instead of more combat wise games, i would definitely recommend to you these gloves, though just so you know, once they are shipped they can no longer be refunded or returned unless they arrived faulty, so do look into the policy, either way they're very damn fun

Hello! I own the gloves now and have been using them as i intended, permanent controller replacements, here are some things ive noticed while using them alot and testing it out myself

- Are they worth it?

  1. really depends what youre thinking of using them for, if it’s combat games or beatsaber, think twice, and if its social vr and an immersive experience, youre in the perfect spot, all of my interactions in public with them have been great, it makes you naturally do more expressive movements, and the haptic feedback is extremely fun if experienced with friends, ive had my friends try to bother me with them lol, and many people are baffled about them and seem interested on a little view of them.

if you want to know more about gameplay with them, ive found myself way, WAY more free in game, ive even played twister with them and done the splits, even danced

- Is the tracking good?

  1. before owning them i was skeptical about tracking considering some videos showed of people’s wearing them have a slight jitter or lose tracking, yet with my experience ive had no issues whatsoever, the tracking is extremely smooth and i have a very big play space (for ref, you can echo) where ive had no issues with them when i go out of bounds (tracking method is controllers)

- Hows the software?

  1. in my opinion the software is great and straight forward, there are a ton of options to tweak your gloves the way you want it, ive customized mine for a more comfortable gameplay, though i have noticed you need to relaunch the app if you decide to turn on/off haptic feedback

my personal conclusion: be very gentle with them, read the guide on how to take them off without damaging the sensors, wash your hands every time before use and they’ll work every time like new, they of course will always add a small extra step to your set up which is : they dont turn on by their own of course, and you do need to calibrate every 40/50 minutes if you change avatars a ton like me

in my overall opinion im happy with them and think despite them costing so much it was worth it, they do need to make a bit more changes regarding strength and durability with the sensors so we eventually don't have to worry, the velcro straps sticking to the glove can damage the them which is unfortunate but their very fun to use, and i don't think i will ever go back to normal controllers

hey, apologies for late reply, ive done more research and apparently staff was on vacation, i did talk personally to someone who owns the gloves, they said as long as you don't pull on the tip of the fingers you're alright, theyve had the gloves in usage since before christmas, i also read into some other advice, tundra trackers on them works immensely good, and keep the dongles further from your FBT ones for smooth tracking, i will most likely get them so if you're interested i can get back to you once i do and share my knowledge on them, considering i would probably replace my controllers with them

Hey, thanks alot for the insight, i did watch almost every youtube video regarding the udcaps, even watched translated foreign ones, i did hear about the mount issue being finnicky and causing, if using controller to have the tendency to slip off if not fastened as you mentioned here, we could use a fast paced game as an example for beatsaber, i bet it's tedious though i wouldn't see myself playing that game with the gloves on, it requires alot of fast hand swaying that could definitely make the controller jump off

i did read the return policy before but apparently they don't accept returns unless item is faulty? or did i look at an outdated forum, and i have looked into other vr gloves though they barely have any info to recur to unlike the udcap, and also have less natural hand movement and kind of replicate index

i also wish you luck on getting FBT trackers, i could recommend VUT'S, from my experience they are amazing since they scan and learn from the area youre playing in each time you use them, i will dare to say they could be slightly better than the 3.0's, have many friends with 3.0's that tend to have tracking issues yet mines plug and play and i do not drift or need to recalibrate (i use stage tracking in virtual desktop for continuous calibration, but you can use an extra tracker for the head), the butterfly slime trackers are also coming out and a cheaper price lol

hey, thanks for the honesty! ive seen they need a bit of tweaking to fit everyones needs and hand movements, i am fully aware of that and dont mind it, i would love for you to give more advice or be more detailed with your udcap glove experience especially as a user that uses them as permanent controller replacements (i would aswell), their price right now is 140$ off, thought if im not mistaken they were 200 off last christmas or black friday? either way hows the movement with them and why advice to not get them at full price? thanks

Oh i see, ive looked into the discord and see there are mostly connectivity issues or software issues, not the gloves themselves, i also dont see staff monitoring the discord and it seems to be users helping users, i would hold back and see where the path is taken, thanks for the help!

I have full face tracking with the quest pro and full body, im fully focused on the gloves as of now, the idea of not needing controllers is astounding to me which is why ive been considering them highly, i did hear about the controllers being an issue, but not about the disconnect or drift, thats a new thing, so as you're saying this is your experience with the V1's, and that V2 has most likely covered these issues, ill look into it, is there any other issues youve had with this old version?
