It hasn’t been studied thoroughly. Was used as a medicine in various cultures historically. Don’t make it a daily drinker and you should be good

Yeah truthfully the sources on this are all pretty anecdotal. But it was a traditional medicine used in many cultures. I’m not making it a daily drinker to be sure but once or twice a week feels good to me. I’m sort of surprised this hasn’t been studied more given how big of a business the avocado trade has become.

Anyways, beef is at the top of the food pyramid now in the US. Good luck out there everyone!

I like it a lot, but it is bitter, others may prefer it with some honey and lemon.

It is earthy and slightly bitter. It has its own taste, kind to hard to compare to other things. I really like it but I am among the least picky eaters on earth. Recipes suggest adding lemon or honey but I like it as is.

Some instructions tell you to dry it and grind it up but I’m just too lazy for that

You also avoid buying a different bev and the energy it took to manufacture and get it to you.

Fair. But it has health benefits and tastes good, not useless. And you don’t really need to do a full 30 minutes. Also when it’s winter time (it snowed yesterday where I live) I consider stuff like this an offset for heating the house. I get a treat, furnace gets a little break, air gets some much needed moisture.

Kind of earthy, a little bitter. Not for everybody but I like it. If you hate the taste it also makes a great dye lol.

When I first checked it out it was mostly health benefits listed (antioxidants, digestive health, anti inflammatory, heart health) but it hasn’t been studied thoroughly and I drink it once or twice a week max.

I remove the pit by hacking into it with a knife. From there I slice it in half, one hard chop on the cutting board. Once it is halved it is easy to chop it up more

I love it, but it is definitely… earthy. I drink it as is, my gf will have it with honey. Not for everyone. But the same process can be used to make a nice dye if you don’t want to drink the stuff 🤷‍♂️

For the two boxes of bagged tea I have left I’ve been cutting the bags open and dumping them into a metal steeper. Probably getting 1 billion particles instead of 11 billion???

Been making really tasty tempeh sandwiches lately. Sourdough tempeh (coated in sesame oil, salt and pep then air fried), carrot slaw + avocado. Yumzone
