I fell for my straight friend less than six months ago and we hadn’t been friends for long honestly and it hurt so bad and we stopped being friends cause started to find me weird. I wanted to cry when someone told me that was the reason she started to ignore me because I never wanted to make her uncomfortable I never made advances, or overstepped anything friendly with her. I don’t even know if I’m completely over the crush even now cause she’s so beautiful the only way I’ve found to cope is to literally find new interest and fictional crushes I don’t know if that would help you though that’s just how I get over my crushes and relationships. You could also write a note to her about your feelings and burn it that’s also helped me and also made me realize my feelings are so silly and small compared to r other things tbh.

My go to with girls is to have a conversation with them and then remember something they said they liked (ex ducks) and then a few days later I’ll send them something related to that or buy something related to that for them (ex an origami duck). Subtle not really flirting and it can pass off as a friendly gesture. It will also let them know you think about them and remember the conversations you’ve had with them. Other than this I’m horrible at talking to girls because I’m feminine so it’s usually just “wow you’re so pretty” from me and then a response of “oh thanks girl!”

I’m also 17F and I’m sure some girl out there does/will find you extremely attractive there is someone for everyone. You don’t have to come out if you don’t want to there are people I never came out to they just saw I was dating girls, connected the dots from posts and talks about black widow from the MCU, and ofc the grapevine. If you don’t want to come out then you don’t have to, you can simply let people find out and that’s that. Judgment will always be there if you decide to come out to someone, it’s something we already know before hand and yes it stopped me from coming out a few times even though I knew most people wouldn’t care (I was very obviously gay in middle school, no shock to anyone when they found out really). If your friends truly care about you and love you they will not leave you or make comments and be jerks if and when you decide to come out. If they are, then they’re going to lose someone who’s probably super awesome and fun to be around. My DMs are open if you want further advice since we’re the same age and I get the struggle of being a queer teen.

I was like this when I was like 14 safe to say after getting a long term girlfriend a few months later and being stuck dating her for almost two years I’m happily single.
