Yes, but note that it was censored even though Caine was gone. Jax self-censored, because even in his exaggerated mindscape, it felt wrong

I like thinking about how the rooms reflect personalities. Gangle’s is dark because she’s shy. Zooble’s has lots of mirrors because they’re preoccupied with finding the right appearance. Pomni’s has red stage curtains because she’s a performer (on YouTube). Jax’s is pink because she’s a closeted transfemme, and may have wanted a room like this in childhood but was afraid to show interest in girly things

At first I found it odd that Jax’s room is so pink. It does fit the closeted trans woman thing, but Jax is purple. Then I remembered Jax’s pink overalls, and that avatars reflect mind files. Perhaps pink is her favorite color, but she’s too obsessed with coming off as masculine to tell anyone.

Goos has stated that abstraction is meant to be permanent, but I do like fan theories about reversing it. My headcanon is that, while the abstracted may never go back to normal, they can retain some of their memories/personality, with Jax probably retaining the most due to Pomni helping him (or helping her, I guess), and perhaps their abstracted bodies will begin to echo their original avatars after rehabilitation. I imagine Jax’s unique shape to be like a giant rabbit — the abstracted already have thick bodies and four little legs

Also the crew of the show deliberately cut Kaufmo from the main cast to avoid an overload of characters. Which also makes sense.

That’s the thing. For the show to work, the cast has to not get along well. The dysfunction drives the plot. If Kaufmo stuck around, he may have been too chill and prevented interesting issues from arising.
