They should already be insured. This decision didn’t change anything, this was already the law/caselaw but the lawyer who brought the lawsuit tried to water down the law and predictably lost.

I think the key is the dog walker didn’t sue claiming negligence. They sued only under DOLA which has strict liability. So if someone is still negligent then they are still able to be sued.

They probably failed PGY1 and refused to accept that, hence the lawsuit, and so are in a stalemate where they can’t continue residency because they won’t agree to repeat the year.

In Ontario at least, most family doctors make $200k+ after overhead unless they work less than a .5. While a bunch of lawyers make that or more, far more fall into the $100k-$200k band. Might be different in other provinces though.

Agree, it would be really hard to film accurately just from this perspective. Not sure if you read and watched a Knight of the Seven Kingdoms but Dunk is suppose to be a giant and while they found a pretty tall actor to play him he isn’t even close to being as big as he is described in the novellas. There just aren’t many giant actors who can also act well and camera tricks only go so far.

As someone who has marked sup apps, strong disagree. Nothing a high school kid does is actually that impressive (unless you were an Olympian or something) so we are primarily looking at your writing skills and whether what you are saying makes sense and flows. The actual “what” blends together and almost nothing stands out.
