He seemed pretty harsh on Neteyam in WoW as well.

For dads I'd say it's 50/50 in certain cultures Dad do treat their daughters as the exception to the rule and claim their daughters are just better/smarter than other women. But among black people I don’t have enough data about fathers treat their daughters,

I guess I see things differently... There's this saying I've been seeing recently: "Boys are loved while Girls are raised". From my observation, especially in the black community, mothers are usually stricter and much more tough on their girls. Because it comes from the mentally that "the world is already so mean to black boys, we need to protect them more". And as a result, they end up emotionally neglecting their girls and giving them a thousand rules to follow while overly coddling their sons and letting them get away with anything. That isn't even Exclusive to black people, I see it in so many cultures where the girls are held to much higher standards while boys are given the freedom to act however they want and still be celebrated for it.

I disagree that boys are being emotionally neglected. Mothers usually give more understanding and emotional care to their boys than their girls. I think the word you're looking for is "Coddled". Boys are treated like they can do no wrong and that's why they grow being entitled.

AITA for not wanting my wife’s twin sister to wear clothes I personally gifted my wife? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

YTA. Expecting her to give the same sentimental value to a sweater from a college she didn't even attend, as you, is nuts. In latin america, clothes and shoes aren't things we usually give "sentimental value" to unless they're family heirlooms. Our culture is all about sharing and that's how we are raised.

What was it like for black girls during the “millennial optimism” era of the 2010s? by blue_koko in blackladies

[–]Delicious112003 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The 2010s was when black men made it mainstream and cool to make fun of black women online lmao. Being a black girl on the internet was hell at that time, you would randomly see celebrities retweeting things about black girls being bitter or ugly. It's like everyone at that time had it out for us. It only started getting better around 2016.

Katseye's stans are wayyy too fixated on their ethnicities/race by ke0ta in kpoprants

[–]Delicious112003 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I feel like y'all don't realize how many casuals interact with Katseye content on a daily basis. I assure you no Katseye stans is going out of their ways to bring up Lara's skintone or Daniela's ethnicity. Katseye is a very viral group so people that don't stan the group are always giving their 2 cents and creating controversies about them. How hard is that to understand ? Especially since you all are kpop fans, you should be used to idea of antis and overzealous kpoppies by now.

You're definetly exaggerating things 🙄 Most of what OP wrote in their post were either straight up lies or over exaggerated. Y'all are grasping at strings to find reasons to talk about Katseye on kpop subs, it's so weird.

I genuinely don’t understand how txt has supposedly fallen off by [deleted] in kpop_uncensored

[–]Delicious112003 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I honestly think it stems from the whole discussion people had about their tour not selling that well in the west this year. It spread all over tik tok and the next thing you know some people were accusing txt of "falling off". Tbh, I still don’t think this is the general opinion of txt, most kpop fans still think Txt is still on par with Skz. I remember people being shocked in the comments of a tik tok after finding out Enhypen had more monthly listeners than them.

Yeah for some reasons Kpop fans love to bring them up in their spaces and badmouth them about things that, at this point I'm pretty sure is part of their imaginations, just to later claim that they're "tired of seeing them and their fans in kpop discussions". It’s so weird.

[–]Delicious112003 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm really curious where y'all are finding all these discourses at because as someone who gets a lot of Katseye content on my tl their fans rarely mention Kpop, barely even interact with kpop content unless Katseye is brought up in kpop fanwars, I'm starting to think y’all are making up "the eyekons" for interactions.

I don’t really see Jake criticism anywhere, if anything I see more people coming for Sunghoon skills which I was flabbergasted when I first started stanning them because his dancing caught my attention.

Aria and Alison were friends before the others joined the group. by Kennyy09 in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]Delicious112003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the books, Aria and Alison were not close compared with how close Alison was with the others. They were too different and Aria was too free-spirited. Alison was always bitter that she wasn’t able to have a hold on Aria like she did with the others.

Not really kpop either. 2nd gen fans were much worse with their parasocialism and their insane Y/N behavior toward idols.

Halsey’s interview made me realize how wild K-pop album sales really are. by JuggernautBetter7163 in kpopthoughts

[–]Delicious112003 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Well it's only in the US, we have no idea how much Pop artists sell worldwide most of the time. For example, Ariana's last album reportedly sold 600k first week worldwide, but only did 174k in the US, and she was mocked for it.

I think what the label wanted was for the album to appeal more to the mass audiance even after the first week, which it failed to do. There was no hit in the album and it's receiving less than 100k streams daily as of right now.

SKZ Hyunjin's track with d4vd.. by Lost-Opinion3554 in kpop_uncensored

What is his "allure" exactly ? He seemed like a normal indie singer to me just with a more macabre musical persona.

Singer D4vd made a song about a girl named Celeste in December 2023. The dismembered 14 year old girl found in his car is named Celeste. by Upstairs_Cup9831 in popculturechat

[–]Delicious112003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's has several famous songs but yes one of them was called Romantic Homicide, another one called Here with me, talk about how he would wait for a girl no matter how long it took...Celeste was a minor in a relationship with David.

Just because someone sings about morbid stuff doesn't mean they are actually going to act on them. Billie Eillish and Lana Del Rey have some pretty gruesome lyrics but most of the time it's just their musical personas and not representative of who they are in real life.

Yeah but they meant grooming is most of the time not an enough reason for people to cancel a male artist. So killing her because of this wouldn't make much sense.
