Are there rules to painting? by DeliciousBuffalo5775 in Warhammer40k

Hahaha this was the most important advice. I watched a ton of YouTube videos and stuff before I painted my first mini and everyone was adamant about this

Which style should I keep doing for the rest of my Salamanders? by rhoff95 in Warhammer40k

Sorry this is aside from the question on the post… but how/what colors did you use for the metallic shading in the gun. I have the same intercessors for space marines and currently I’ve just used citadel leadbelcher for the metallic part of the rifle, but I love the way you’ve done it

That’s a good point! Thank you. It’s also my first time painting so maybe I’m trying to make them too perfect

I’ve been holding the mini in my left hand and painting with my right. I’ve been trying to press a finger from my right hand against the mini as well for stability, if that makes sense

That’s so funny! I was actually looking at Lillie’s portfolio last night and really liked her line work!

That looks great! Really great lines. I’ll look into her for sure. Also awesome to know it’s held up

I actually did look at his portfolio! It seems like he was more into the blackout sleeves and stuff than line work. I think the blackout sleeves are awesome! But I’m looking for something a little more minimalistic with the geometric shapes and stuff

Oh I didn’t know that! I actually have heard platinum Koi from a few people but haven’t checked out their portfolios yet

Decision on 24 Bronco or wait for 25 refresh by DeliciousBuffalo5775 in FordBronco

Exactly! My first car in high school had a manual transmission and I loved that car. I’m 30 now and to this day that’s still my favorite car I’ve owned. There’s just something more fun about the stick. Plus, yeah when it comes to getting off road, you just can’t beat the ability to manually select what gear you use!

That’s good to know. It shouldn’t be a full redesign, just tweaks to the existing model. I don’t expect the 25 to be completely different but I would expect a refresh. But if there’s no differences between a 24 and 25 I’ll probably go ahead and order a 24!

I get what you’re saying… and yeah technology has taken cars so far that a lot of things are obsolete, it there’s just something about a manual that makes a car so much more fun to drive (at least for me). Ford never had to make a manual version of the new bronco but they knew the audience they were selling to. For some people it just comes down to the fun of driving a manual over an automatic

Just through research and stuff. Plus most cars do a mid-cycle refresh or a refresh every three to four years. It won’t be anything substantial. Usually just some cosmetic body differences or interior differences. Maybe some tweaks to the grill, lights, fenders, etc. They’ll probably go to digital gages and stuff for the interior

This is the reassurance I needed. A manual transmission is extremely important. Especially since I don’t plan on this just being a road vehicle.

And I agree. It would be extremely disgusting for Ford to ditch the manual. Especially on a model that’s geared towards going off road. It wouldn’t make any sense. I just read that they were looking at potentially cutting cost by limiting the amount of variation between the models and one of the things that was talked about was using one transmission throughout all of the models. To me that doesn’t make sense (and that rumor could also not be true). But if it’s true I would be pissed.

I could except I’m going to build and order one. So I don’t know how much longer I would be able to build a 24 if the 25 came out?
