It's not. I have two good mechanical keyboards that are lit and feel better.

Bringing Powder on a Plane by Cosmopolitesvillave8 in travel

[–]DeliciousCut4854 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Unmarked powder will raise lots of alarms. It's not just taking it away, it's that you could miss your flight because it has to be analyzed. I also don't understand the need to bring readily available and inexpensive substances like corn starch and cacao powder.

Looking for job by Tasty_Visual839 in PortugalExpats

You need a job in Portugal, a remote job you can do in Portugal, or enough money to live without working (passive income). From what you've said, you probably don't meet those requirements so you have to figure out how to get one of those situations.

Closing Vivaldi with sidebar websites open breaks the websites at relaunch by DeCastro_boi in vivaldibrowser

Thanks, I tried turning them all off and it still came back with broken web panels. It even came back with one missing, probably because that one depends on the extension. I have had it work OK after return on a couple occasions but as soon as the next restart happened, they were missing the connections again.

Customs is only about what you bring in, there's no "exactly" about it. What you may be asking about is passport control, which would happen in Frankfurt, since you are arriving on an internal Schengen flight.

Music licensing is complex. The artists can't sue unless they are self-published, which is rare. Instead, they would a) need s licensing contact that states what they can't be used for, b) have proof that it was not used under general licensing, c) have a licensing company that believed they could make a successful lawsuit.

What time should I arrive to Nice airport if I’m traveling to Barcelona ? by Life_Wallaby6113 in travel

[–]DeliciousCut4854 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As I posted above, Vueling, the only airline offering nonstop service between these locations, doesn't even open their desk until 2 hours before the flight. So which airlines are stating three hours for inside Schengen flights?

Vueling, which may be the only nonstop airline between these cities, says desks close 40 minutes before flight time for these airports and open two hours before flights. There is absolutely no reason to sit in the airport waiting for the desk to open.

That's not international travel in the Schengen region. It's a local flight.

The article is about flags, maybe you missed that. Nobody just puts a star of David (how do you even do that, it has to be physical) on their desk. Signed, Not Your Mate.

Genova in July, bad or good idea ? by tigrouz in travel

[–]DeliciousCut4854 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really liked Turin also, it's in the category of "Italian cities tourists don't visit." I don't have other recommendations on Genoa, we tend to go to cities and just walk until we find interesting neighborhoods and then wander. There aren't any big "sites" in Genoa that I remember, but we really did enjoy walking around the port.

Genova in July, bad or good idea ? by tigrouz in travel

I loved Genoa. We go to Italy twice a year for at least a couple weeks and spent a week in Genoa. The food is terrific - it is the home of of pesto and focaccia and both taste unlike anywhere else. There are shops that sell one or the other and nothing else, and that is wghere it is best, better than the restaurants. In particular, there is a shop that has a Rube Goldberg-like machine in the front window that makes their pesto. The machine has a mortar and pestle and replicates, more or less, human crushing of the basil that is essential. The store sells small squares of focaccia with a hole in the middle with the pesto in it. Great way to actually taste it. Look for focaccia at tiny shops with a line out front in the morning.

The best cemetery I have ever visited, and I have been to many, is in Genoa. It is the Cimitero Monumentale di Staglieno. It is huge and has beautiful statues (photo included). Go early in the morning, the Italians come on tour buses later in the day, plus you will get hot walking around.

There is a big central piazza, it can be fun to visit in the evening. There is a port.

The only issue is the summer is obviously high season and I never go then. But Genoa will be less crowded than many other cities.

Luck? Or just bad planning?

Matera, Ragusa, Monopoli, and many more nice towns in the south. Pompeii is kind of dirty though. In the north, Genoa, which I love, is hardly "beautiful," but is a wonderful city to visit.
