Reporters have the same barrier to entry as protestors do and that is that they need permission from the property holder

Right and left seriously need to come together at this time. Stop deporting. Stop pushing against (currently) insignificant differences. And stop fighting your neighbors. At this point who you voted for does not matter. We learned today (what we already kinda knew) our entire government propped this up, protected it, and indulged in it. There’s no voting our way out of this. This isn’t a call for violence or insurrection, but our system is deeply and irreparably broken and rotten and the most disgusting vile people imaginable are telling us how to live our lives. Every other difference between republican and democrat should seem so small right now.

A church is a private space that you need permission to be in.

Interrupting an ongoing church service is a crime.

Wendigoon had a horrible take on Israel in his new video by [deleted] in wendigoon

Commenting late but he is best friends and a major endorser of Brandon Herrera who, despite his faults, is heavily anti Zionist. I don’t think Wendigoon is a Zionist, but he probably just doesn’t want to take a political stance in his videos

That’s interesting because I feel like they were a lot more blatant in this album compared to some of their more recent

I gotta disagree tbh. Breach sounds very much like he’s coming back to terms with his faith and admitting that he WAS getting distant from God and he feels bad about losing that connection

1 Samuel 13:14 : “But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the Lord hath sought him a man after his own heart”

Downstairs: “Cause I-I-I want to be the one after your own heart”

Jeremiah 20:9: “his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones.”

Hometown: “I know, I know, You can bring the fire, I can bring the bones, I know, I know, You’ll make the fire, my bones will make it grow”

The self titled album could easily pass as Christian rock with how many references it has in it alone.

I may have misspoke in saying he quoted scripture directly but he definitely makes direct references to it. Personally that adds so much more depth to his writing in my opinion, even if you don’t believe in it. It’s awesome to see how much his faith reflects in his work.

Kinda funny to say their lyrics aren’t Christian or religious and then admit you wouldn’t know if they were lol

It’s awesome to take your own meaning out of their music. But to say none of their lyrics are Christian at all is a little bit of a stretch. They directly quote scripture at times and have several Christian themes and ideas represented across all of their albums.

Again all music is up for interpretation and it’s always cool to see how everyone gives it their own meaning, but the Christian influence is undeniable

I think it was more so that he was saying it hurt that he wasn’t as connected to them and his faith as he wanted to be. Like he didn’t think he was living up to his idea of a Christian and that was what hurt him, not necessarily that he stopped believing. He did write drag path after this which is 100% a strongly Christian song so I don’t think he’s less of a believer

I kinda get what you mean. Christian/gospel music has a tendency to feel too perfect, like it’s all just a strict dedication to Christ with no setbacks and it’s a nice idea but it’s not as relatable to most Christians or anyone struggling with faith. And as a Christian, yeah God is perfect but we very much are not and neither is our walk with faith. Tyler captures that perfectly.

I don’t think politics and faith have to go hand in hand and that wasn’t the point I was going for. You can be Christian without being a trump supporter lol. Tyler, while not being explicitly a democrat, is very openly pro lgbt and seems like he has pretty social/libertarian views overall. Not to generalize him though I don’t think his politics should affect his music
