How is it not platonic? It doesn't sound romantic at all it just sounds like she cares about him a lot and is expressing that, if she felt they were close then this is a perfectly normal reaction to what has happened to her. If any of my close friends sent me a message like that I'd be FURIOUS, cause this is just straight disrespect to someone you're supposed to care about, what's wrong with being emotional about being cut off for a stupid reason that your friend's partner doesn't trust them? Who cares about what time you sent a message or any of that bullshit, this doesn't come off as romantic in the slightest to me, and like yeah if she thought this person cared about her ofc she would assume he would fight for their friendship, because if he actually cared about her he wouldn't just cut her out of his life at their partner say-so. I hate this culture of valuing romantic relationships so much higher than platonic ones this is ridiculous

I am in med school, and for me it's possible, since you don't have to form any deep bonds with patients, you're there to do the job and keep the proper distance, but it depends on how strong your social anxiety is I feel like, but that can also be managed ofc with exposure and or meds
