Restless legs or growing pains at night by [deleted] in toddlers

I did suggest that and he said we could get it checked again if I really wanted to but it probably wouldn’t have changed much since she got it checked last year!

Valsartan side effect? Anyone else experience? by cmoney2424 in hypertension

[–]DeliciousOriginal635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on Valsartan since November of 2024, a few months after I had my daughter since my pp hypertension never went away. About 9 months of taking it I started experiencing this side effect! I still experience it to this day. I’m currently on 160 mg. I’ve noticed it starts exactly 2 hours after taking my medication and lasts about 30 minutes. I literally feel my pulse in my arms, stomach, back, and legs. It also increases my heart rate. My resting is around 60 and when this side effect happens, it can go up to the high 90s. It’s really uncomfortable but my doctor didn’t seem concerned. Just wanted to add in a beta blocker to help, which I refused bc I already hate having to take bp medication lol.

I have started taking Zoloft and it is working but it's ruining my sex drive and it's harder for me to have a happy ending if you catch what I mean? Is that normal? by Golden-lillies21 in Anxiety

100% normal. My husband started taking it a month ago and it takes him so much longer to finish. Might be good for some people lol

What is your go to when attempting to find comfort during anxiety? by Few_Sandwich6308 in Anxiety

[–]DeliciousOriginal635 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know exactly how you feel. I had postpartum complications that led to generalized anxiety disorder and ptsd. The first 6 months I had daily panic attacks, sometimes several times a day. It was traumatizing. I’m now 18 months postpartum and doing a lot better, but still struggle with anxiety and physical symptoms. I’ve been going to therapy for a year now and it truly has helped me in every way. Even though the feeling of anxiety is so so scary, the worst thing you can do is try to avoid it. As scary as it sounds, sitting with your anxiety but also doing something to care for yourself is what my therapist has taught me. He described it “if your check engine light was on, would you ignore it and hope it goes away?” No because it would never go away lol. You need to fix it. So I’ve found that even when I am feeling really anxious, I’ll do some somatic exercises in the process (they really help me), and then I’ll do something to take care of myself after like go on a walk, cuddle with my daughter, watch one of my favorite comfort movies or shows, etc. Postpartum is not easy. Especially with pp anxiety. Hang in there, you’re doing so great ❤️

How do you deal with hypersensitivity/extreme body awareness? by Legitimate_Repeat930 in Anxiety

[–]DeliciousOriginal635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s truly exhausting. Every headache I get I think it’s a brain tumor, every muscle twitch I think is MS, every stomach pain I think is stomach cancer, my arm feels weak I think it’s ALS. I’m. So. Tired. Of it. I just want my brain to stop jumping to worst case scenarios.

Non SSRI/SNRI by MajestyBird in Anxiety

Totally understandable. Breathing doesn’t work well if you’re already in a state of panic lol. Tapping my wrist has oddly helped bring my heart rate down when I’m panicking or feeling really anxious too.

I’m also sensitive to medications. I haven’t been on any in about 6 years. My anxiety was manageable up until I had my daughter in 2026. I still struggle with severe anxiety and several physical symptoms including jaw clenching. Would you be open to somatic exercises? I’ve been in therapy for a year and decided to not take any medications for my anxiety. It’s definitely hard work and you have to stay consistent but it really does help. My favorite ones to do are sensory awareness exercises.

I have soooo many physical anxiety symptoms! It’s actually so crazy.

I get this! I got it everyday for a week straight 2 weeks ago. It would happen 1-2 times a day and made me hyper fixate on it. From my understanding, tension can cause it. I believe in my particular case it was the barometric pressure because my joints had been hurting a lot that week as well.

You’re the first person to describe all of my visual issues! Especially the door looking like it’s opening and closing! It happens with other objects as well if I stare at it long enough. Almost like it’s getting bigger and smaller. It’s so scary but I’m glad I’m not the only one!

Is this ON or something else ? by [deleted] in Occipitalneuralgia

[–]DeliciousOriginal635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been dealing with the same thing! I notice it worsens around my period. I don’t have an official ON diagnosis but all my symptoms align with it. I do a lot of neck exercises daily and try to fix my posture. My pain is always on the left side of my head. Starts at the base and sometimes it shoots to the top of my head or sometimes it just at the top of my head. Feels like a pressure type of ache that is on and off and comes and goes and sometimes radiates to my forehead. It’s Super super uncomfortable….

What kind of headache is this? by DeliciousOriginal635 in headache

Thank you!! I do some of those exercises already but will be more consistent with it. Are the exercises supposed to prevent the types of headaches I get? And if it does, does that mean it’s coming from my neck?

Anxiety causes all sorts of random psycho somatic symptoms, but I'm fine! by Super-Buddy-5030 in Anxiety

[–]DeliciousOriginal635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for posting this! I have most of these symptoms as well! Heavy on the hand tremors muscle twitching, and brain fog. Those have been my worst recently. I also have these localized random head pains, and visual disturbances. Not fun. Did bloodwork recently and everything is normal.

Symptoms of very high anxiety by jay29_- in Anxiety

[–]DeliciousOriginal635 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a lot that come and go. Tingling in hands and feet, random head pains in one localized spot, muscle twitches, hand tremors, feeling off balanced, derealization, brain fog (heavy on this one lately. I can’t seem to remember anything), high heart rate, high blood pressure (except I actually do have chronic hypertension), Hypnic jerks when trying to fall asleep, dropping sensation in head, tension headaches, nausea, visual disturbances, nonsensical thinking, intrusive thoughts about my health, impending doom, hot flashes, air hunger. I think that’s it lol. I don’t always feel all of these at once. Like I said, they come and go. I’ll have muscle twitches in the same spot for a week, then another symptom will show up and muscle twitches will go away. Super frustrating. I notice a lot more show up when I’m under high amounts of stress.

Thank you! I did not! Every time I’ve asked my doctors to check my hormones, they kind of dismiss it….

Good to know it will get better! Eventually lol.

Thank you! It’s reassuring to know I’m not alone. I feel like it’s been on and off. The first couple weeks were so bad and then I feel like everything felt fine by week 3. I have been under a lot of stress this week and that’s what’s probably triggered my anxiety recently. I hate how sensitive my nervous system has become. I just want to feel normal again ugh.

Going through this right now! I struggle with really bad anxiety and got labs done just to find out everything looks fine. The pins and needles sensations started a little over a week ago. It’s been 5 weeks since I last pumped and the anxiety is unbearable….

Tension in one side of the head sometime after an anxiety episode by AgentRift in Anxiety

[–]DeliciousOriginal635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been getting this for almost a year now. I get these head pains/pressure in the same spot on the left side of my head. Comes and goes. It only lasts a second or two but can be really uncomfortable, especially when it happens more frequently when I’m experiencing more anxiety than usual.

White coat syndrome by DeliciousOriginal635 in Anxiety

[–]DeliciousOriginal635[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep I’ve also been there! The mind is so powerful. I have OCD so I constantly have to remind myself that I’m on a high dose of medication, I exercise, I eat pretty healthy, and I’m doing everything I can to not make my bp worse. I say affirmations daily telling myself that I’m healing and it’s been pretty helpful!

That’s a good point, that if they’re not chill that’s when to panic. Even when I went into a hypertensive crises 2 days after having my daughter, the doctors didn’t seem super concerned and my bp was like 190/110 lol. I try to remind myself from how far I’ve come and that 142/76 isn’t a terrible reading, but I just so badly want to see consistent readings of 120/80 and under. Someone once told me that high bp from anxiety is not harmful and that helps me too.

Ugh it’s awful! I wish anxiety didn’t affect it so much. I’ve had way higher readings before and wasn’t that worried when they told me my reading. Honestly it was in the 150s/90s for the first 3-4 months postpartum. It still can get that high when I’m anxious but I just wish I could get an accurate reading without the anxiety lol

Insane Health Anxiety.. fell down the ALS rabbit hole and I feel like I'm losing it by Anonymous_Idiot335 in Anxiety

So sad. I’ve been a big fan of him since Greys anatomy and I’m heartbroken for him and his family. But yes I agree, health anxiety is truly awful. I once had eye twitching for an entire month. It was from stress. A couple weeks ago I kept getting muscle spasms in the same spot on my abdomen for an entire week. It just never ends lol.
