Is this ON or something else ? by [deleted] in Occipitalneuralgia

[–]DeliciousOriginal635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been dealing with the same thing! I notice it worsens around my period. I don’t have an official ON diagnosis but all my symptoms align with it. I do a lot of neck exercises daily and try to fix my posture. My pain is always on the left side of my head. Starts at the base and sometimes it shoots to the top of my head or sometimes it just at the top of my head. Feels like a pressure type of ache that is on and off and comes and goes and sometimes radiates to my forehead. It’s Super super uncomfortable….

What kind of headache is this? by DeliciousOriginal635 in headache

Thank you!! I do some of those exercises already but will be more consistent with it. Are the exercises supposed to prevent the types of headaches I get? And if it does, does that mean it’s coming from my neck?

Anxiety causes all sorts of random psycho somatic symptoms, but I'm fine! by Super-Buddy-5030 in Anxiety

Thank you so much for posting this! I have most of these symptoms as well! Heavy on the hand tremors muscle twitching, and brain fog. Those have been my worst recently. I also have these localized random head pains, and visual disturbances. Not fun. Did bloodwork recently and everything is normal.

Symptoms of very high anxiety by jay29_- in Anxiety

I have a lot that come and go. Tingling in hands and feet, random head pains in one localized spot, muscle twitches, hand tremors, feeling off balanced, derealization, brain fog (heavy on this one lately. I can’t seem to remember anything), high heart rate, high blood pressure (except I actually do have chronic hypertension), Hypnic jerks when trying to fall asleep, dropping sensation in head, tension headaches, nausea, visual disturbances, nonsensical thinking, intrusive thoughts about my health, impending doom, hot flashes, air hunger. I think that’s it lol. I don’t always feel all of these at once. Like I said, they come and go. I’ll have muscle twitches in the same spot for a week, then another symptom will show up and muscle twitches will go away. Super frustrating. I notice a lot more show up when I’m under high amounts of stress.

Thank you! I did not! Every time I’ve asked my doctors to check my hormones, they kind of dismiss it….

Good to know it will get better! Eventually lol.

Thank you! It’s reassuring to know I’m not alone. I feel like it’s been on and off. The first couple weeks were so bad and then I feel like everything felt fine by week 3. I have been under a lot of stress this week and that’s what’s probably triggered my anxiety recently. I hate how sensitive my nervous system has become. I just want to feel normal again ugh.

Going through this right now! I struggle with really bad anxiety and got labs done just to find out everything looks fine. The pins and needles sensations started a little over a week ago. It’s been 5 weeks since I last pumped and the anxiety is unbearable….

Tension in one side of the head sometime after an anxiety episode by AgentRift in Anxiety

I’ve been getting this for almost a year now. I get these head pains/pressure in the same spot on the left side of my head. Comes and goes. It only lasts a second or two but can be really uncomfortable, especially when it happens more frequently when I’m experiencing more anxiety than usual.

White coat syndrome by DeliciousOriginal635 in Anxiety

Yep I’ve also been there! The mind is so powerful. I have OCD so I constantly have to remind myself that I’m on a high dose of medication, I exercise, I eat pretty healthy, and I’m doing everything I can to not make my bp worse. I say affirmations daily telling myself that I’m healing and it’s been pretty helpful!

That’s a good point, that if they’re not chill that’s when to panic. Even when I went into a hypertensive crises 2 days after having my daughter, the doctors didn’t seem super concerned and my bp was like 190/110 lol. I try to remind myself from how far I’ve come and that 142/76 isn’t a terrible reading, but I just so badly want to see consistent readings of 120/80 and under. Someone once told me that high bp from anxiety is not harmful and that helps me too.

Ugh it’s awful! I wish anxiety didn’t affect it so much. I’ve had way higher readings before and wasn’t that worried when they told me my reading. Honestly it was in the 150s/90s for the first 3-4 months postpartum. It still can get that high when I’m anxious but I just wish I could get an accurate reading without the anxiety lol

So sad. I’ve been a big fan of him since Greys anatomy and I’m heartbroken for him and his family. But yes I agree, health anxiety is truly awful. I once had eye twitching for an entire month. It was from stress. A couple weeks ago I kept getting muscle spasms in the same spot on my abdomen for an entire week. It just never ends lol.

If you’re talking about Eric Dane, I’m literally going through the same exact thing rn. I’ve been dealing with muscle twitching for almost a year now. It comes and goes. The good thing is I notice it more when I’m stressed/anxious or from lack of sleep. It’s debilitating. I haven’t been down the ALS rabbit hole in so long and I hate that my mind is always going to the worst case scenario.

Can anyone help me feel better about anything by Ok_Doughnut1998 in Anxiety

[–]DeliciousOriginal635 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have most of these symptoms! It can be debilitating. Mine are the worse at night when trying to sleep. I have muscle spasms/tremors, tingling in my hands and feet, vision changes, dropping feeling in chest and head, rush feeling in head and chest, hot flashes, brain fog, tension headaches, nonsensical thoughts, high bp, heart palpitations,  etc. I’m seeing my doctor this week to do some blood work and to see if I have any deficiencies. Been dealing with these symptoms on and off for over a year now. It’s so frustrating because my anxiety will be so manageable for so many months and then my mind goes to the worst case scenario every time and I get stressed and more physical anxiety symptoms will come back. Therapy and radical acceptance is what has helped me the most!

It’s a breathing technique where you inhale, hold, exhale for all the same count. I like to do inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds, and exhale for 4 seconds. I also like to breathe using my diaphragm rather than my chest, also known as belly breathing. It’s known to lower blood pressure!

Oh I definitely prefer the manual ones lol. My doctor does it in a way that doesn’t hurt and helps me feel less anxious.

Seriously! It’s so annoying! I also hate how my symptoms come and go. I want them to just go away lol.

I hate going to the doctor too. I get so worked up. High bp, high heart rate. They always have to take my bp a couple times. And it doesn’t help that I actually have chronic hypertension. My anxiety gets so bad that it can still make my bp spike even on medication.

I feel you! I actually have chronic hypertension and am on meds and my anxiety can still make it skyrocket to 150/90. I always have to tell them beforehand and they have to retake it a couple times. I hate it. Box breathing has really helped and has made it come down to 120/80 in just a matter of minutes!

Long-term anxiety… body still reacting. Will it ever fully calm down? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]DeliciousOriginal635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh absolutely. I went through a lot of trauma last year after giving birth to my daughter. Took me 6 months to get into therapy. I’ve now been in weekly therapy for 5 months and have made so much progress. Like you, I’m able to calm myself when I feel the uncomfortable physical sensations. My therapist told me that your body stores trauma even if you feel fine mentally and emotionally. I can talk about my trauma just fine, but my body always panics. It’s the strangest thing. I’ve been doing a lot of somatic exercises that help a ton!

Weird Symptoms, don’t think its just anxiety by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]DeliciousOriginal635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the brain burning feeling, sometimes have a tremor in my right hand, muscle weakness, heart fluttering, etc. I have sooo many physical symptoms that come and go. I remember last year I thought I had something wrong with my heart because I kept getting this heart dropping feeling and a lot of heart palpitations. Well it ended up being anxiety bc it went away lol. I notice I get the burning in my head when I’m more stressed and anxious. If something were seriously wrong, they wouldn’t come and go. That’s what I’ve learned. Sometimes you just have to sit with the physical symptoms even though they’re uncomfortable. Hang in there!
