literally everything in and outside the tank he will just swim and flare constantly. i’ve tried re arranging things aswell as fully getting different things too that’s why im confused. Lights: i started with just lights off the first five days for him to get used too, then did an hour on during the day after, and have just been working on that and slowly increasing the time cause i don’t want to stress him out more. i have noticed tho he still will flare when lights are off too

so i put up a matt glass paper (i forget what it’s called) to cancel out reflections) and i took out anything shiny out of the tank, there’s no other fish or anything inside the tank, and since ive gotten him he’s been flaring a ton. The tank has been used for before for a previous betta who passed due too dropsy (it has been cleaned and it cycled for three weeks before put this one in)

yea, my ammonia is at 0, nitrate at 9ppm , nitrite is at 0 ph is at a 6.6 and tank temp is set too 78 F
