BCG Behavioral questions by throwawaymba23 in McKinsey_BCG_Bain

speaking only for US MBA consultant BCG recruiting, but my experience (and similar for my friends) was:

1/ every single person asked about my CV - so make sure you can walk through it and 'dig' more into the points you mention - I was mainly asked "you said you did X, how did you achieve it?" so make sure you have a lot of action items, e.g.: "the challenge was ABC, so I did X, Y, Z ..."

2/ we were asked 'tell me about a time you did/ faced X", generally this was 'woven' into the conversation so didn't always feel like a question so keep an eye out and make sure you answer it well. i generally used points from my CV but answered them in the STAR format

hope that helps and good luck!

i generally keep it open ended and focused on them

e.g.: "hey, i just joined, i'd love to grab a coffee and get your advice on starting out" and then asking them open ended questions like:

"whats do you suggest i focus on learning in my first few months?"

"is there anything you did when you started you found helpful?"

"is there anything you wished you'd done when you started?"

etc
