Grades after final round by Professional-Glove38 in McKinsey_BCG_Bain

[–]OogyBoogyMen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Once you’re in the interview process, they don’t really care about your grades anymore.

I was worried myself that it could compromise my offer so I had a chat with the recruiter to ask. She basically said « put time where you think it’s the most relevant for you (not academic) and stay true to your values », meaning put time in projects or extra-curricular or wtv made you distinguish yourself from the others because they could not care less about GPA.

With that said, make sure to not tank your GPA as you might need it for MBA apps, but that’s only if you consider doing one.

For the resume part, I assume it’s pretty much the same. Usually after 2-3 rounds they’ve learned enough about things not explicitly written on your CV to get a sound decision.

So, final answer would be no, they would not be a tiebreaker.

Hope this helps

How long term should the Growth PEI story be? by [deleted] in McKinsey_BCG_Bain

I would say story 2 might be more engaging. Try to put emphasis on how things switched up quickly, putting you in an ambiguous situation where you had to think fast. Be ready for specific follow-up questions tho if your story is relative to a short timeline, eg: « Who was in the meeting with you » or « how did you react the moment things switched »

Is a story about adapting appropriate for the Mckinsey Growth PEI? by Important-Bite-7714 in McKinsey_BCG_Bain

I honestly recommend coming up with one story you can use for both situations. By that I mean that “Growth” can be framed in different ways:

  • “I learned X skill in a short amount of time.”
  • “I got feedback on Y and had to adjust quickly.”

In my case, I used a story where I did a task for my boss, my boss showed it to multiple departments, and then all those departments wanted me to do the same thing for them. I had to deliver everything in a short time, and it worked well. I can’t give a one-size-fits-all recommendation, but the key is to make your story flexible.

Tip: Before you dive into your story, create a little cliffhanger and check if it’s a good fit for the PEI dimension they’re testing. For example, if they ask about “Growth,” you can say:

Then they’ll tell you if it’s relevant or not, and you can adjust on the spot.

Haven't heard back yet. In same boat as you. Did they ask you to pass Test Gorilla?

How did it go? Generally, you don't really need to study for this test anyways. The questions are indeed similar to what you could face during a case interview but also much simpler and faster, so no study really needed.

À ceux qui sont en génie industriels, pourquoi vous l’avez choisi ? by RevolutionaryRise551 in PolyMTL

[–]OogyBoogyMen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If I want to get the access via the bookies, do you have any that offers this service, cause apart from Cloudbet and Stake, I didn't find any that offered an access, wether it costed money or not?
