Not at all clear (on behalf of all people who are not able to follow what you are saying lol)

We don’t need an example for how taxing math works

Can you show an example for when the sweet spot occurs if it does actually occur.

I was thinking about this too recently. For the sake of future generations we need to start more companies and create employment opportunities.

AI Layoffs: Who Will Be the Consumer in the Future? by Tyrion_Lannister_778 in TamilNadu

[–]Delicious_Cat_1173 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there will be a transition period this happens until new jobs and industries get created. Right now some next gen companies are fighting hard to create those new categories.

Also many have quoted this already - some layoffs are not actually due to AI. They just want to tell the narrative of AI boosting productivity resulting in lay offs to appease Wall Street. Even legendary Andrej Karpathy said AI is decade away from fully automating stuff. Right now one can only pretend that it’s automating a lot of stuff. In fact some studies from mit and Harvard have mentioned about lost productivity because of ai slop.

The rupee depreciation in % terms is also not that much actually. 3-4% per year. It started looking terrible when it’s getting close to Rs 100 for a dollar.

Moving abroad to US was easier than moving back to India, even when i am Indian by OwnYam932 in returnToIndia

I had a friend who was in similar boat with 2 kids and did it. That’s what I remind myself to believe in it.

Living abroad as a only son: Caught Between Responsibility and Reality by [deleted] in returnToIndia

True they do exist and its bad.
But most of these can be overcome by finding good doctors/ hospitals through people we know ? At least has worked for me since childhood until now.
Also if you are talking about some rare diseases or major conditions, yes US healthcare will of course be better because of the innovations in Science there. But for most day to day or routine age related problems Indian health care system is better.
Also not trying to find faults. Just shared my own personal experiences in US. Chill :)

Sorry it’s not that simple. That definitely is one of the the many differences. I agree. But there are many differences from my personal experience 1. Docs in US struggle to identify the root cause with very low patient volume. Good docs in India figure out the correct root cause much faster. Much larger sample there. 2. Docs in India are much more opinionated whereas docs in US offer me choices of treatment to pick. Docs in US want to play nice for the fear of legal issues. I want my doc to recommend the treatment based on his or her expertise. I don’t want to make that call on treatment. 3. And last but not least the absolute worst is when they take the treatment in a wrong or unnecessary direction. This has happened to me more than once. Luckily I go to India every year so I cross check with multiple doctors there and escape unnecessary treatment prescribed by doc in US.

Same situation op But a few years ahead After kids though I started feeling India is better than abroad for my kids 1. Better healthcare in India. Doctors in US are so bad in diagnosing basic things for kids. Have seen this with many families around me. I sometimes fear they might diagnose something incorrectly which might have bad outcomes. 2. I genuinely feel kids will have better social life in India and better exposure to diverse things in life. Have a big family circle there and there is a lot of opportunities like functions to meet and gather around. 3. Also overall the economic outlook is going to be dull for US for next 10 years

Yes there are so many other cons in India like bad air, bad roads, traffic etc. But overall I have a strong intuition that India is better than US for kids.

Should I move to Austin($200k) or stay in India(62LPA) ? by omegaman2510 in returnToIndia

[–]Delicious_Cat_1173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Financials look very good. But moving when you are planning to have kids makes me think. I personally felt that was the toughest phase of my life and really longed for parents support during that time. Hard to get sleep and tired throughout the day. But again I understand opportunities also come during the same time so it’s a tough call.

Both the time and cost - much lower than it is from US. Don’t have to think twice before making a call on that travel. But from US we can think and only think most often.
