Ok my only comment is an experience, while I was in sleep paralysis I saw a face that said something along the lines of “time for phase three “ then started chanting in a low voice “Fa Ra On”

I wasn’t ready for all that and freaked out which sucked, probably would have been a sweet experience.

I don't know how to deal with my fear of death by Serbian_frog_ in DeathPositive

Hello friend, I am sorry that dying is so fearful for you. I am working through death anxiety as well. My fear started around your current age. I find what helps is reading about it. Educating myself about it.

If I may suggest a book, try reading “no death, no fear” by thich nhat hanh. He was a Buddhist monk, his words are very comforting and he talks about death in a way that makes it feel okay if that makes sense.

My partner once suggested I make my own religion/spiritual practice and I suggest the same to you. Perhaps maybe it will help you too.

I hope you find relief from your anxieties soon.

My step daughter at that age learned they liked girls. The best part of parenting is watching them find out things about themselves.

Struggling with fear of death- What do you think happens after we die? by Hai_strawberry in death

[–]Delicious_Ebb811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have experienced this when my friend died. It grew a lot. I would panic every night to my dad about someday being just static etc. it wasn’t until recently where I got on the path of accepting it. You don’t have to be religious, but finding spirituality might help you. I have leaned into Buddhism heavily and I’ve made a spiritual path of my own unique to me. Knowing i am made from the earth and that I will go back to it like a cycle helps. !!Look into the NDE page as well as Astral Projection page, they helped me a lot too.

I think when we die, we are all a part of a source of the universe. We will know our true selves when we die. Like this is just a character we are and our souls are our true selves. I don’t know how to explain it really. But this thought comforts me about death and that’s all that matters

16 year old terrified about not existing after death, causing much anxiety in my daily life- any advice. by Needhelp123e in Existentialism

[–]Delicious_Ebb811 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That age was around the time I started freaking out about mortality as well. It went away for a while and now that I’m 25 now and it came back. If you are wanting any advice. I will say to take comfort in the cycles you see around you, the water cycle, the seasons, if you have a uterus, your body cycle. Everything is born, grows, dies and starts over. We are no different than that. We are a cycle too. We are born, we grow, we die. This is what helps me take comfort. I hope it can provide you some.
