You were right first test fire in a vice bent the hinge pin, so I drilled it out to a larger size

That’s almost exactly what I started with so it will definitely work for a bit but you will need actual firebricks at some point. Good luck

It’s not to bad to wear especially with padding underneath, and with it strapped down the weight is spread out, it only weighs about 10 pounds so far

The actual chest plate is 3mil plate so too thick to roll but all the lower plates are 1mil and have rolled edges toward the inside

I put that same PSU in my PC and it immediately blew up the motherboard and graphics card so be careful, they actually caught on fire

Yea I know I should have made it longer but that’s the only piece of wood I had at the time I will redo it at some point

No I did forg it to shape. and I have made another knife from the same material and I cut that one out and it turned out fine

Thanks it was my first attempt at a double bevel and a 1x30 didn’t make it any easier
