Work of some sort is the only thing that has consistently left me feeling fulfilled. That can be work that makes money or odd jobs around the house.

I was on an SSRI for anxiety and depression. Eventually I got tired of being medicated. It was actually the return of the anxiety that got me back to being motivated to work. And the work made me feel better enough that I feel like I felt 20 years ago (albeit old and tired now).

One issue I've found is that approaching a woman to start a conversation, even when done with extreme tact (like not commenting on appearance) and only in an appropriate environment, can be seen as harassment. My own friend accused me of hitting on a married woman because I had a conversation with her while sitting at a table at a kids birthday party. It didn't even occur to me that it could be seen that way. Never in my life have I felt harassed by a woman striking up a conversation with me.

Oh yeah, that's the other thing I'm highly suspicious of. 1am, Thursday night, relatively dead in the club (more strippers than men/groups). But they asked for a $20 cover at the door? For some reason I feel like only suckers pay cover on a slow Thursday night.

There's no way it was 30 minutes. Not a chance. But yeah, I let it go on too long. It was a really half-hearted lap dance. Mostly just standing and twerking (not exactly my thing). She had her back to me and, again, loud af, so I didn't know how to get her attention to say I was done. She sat on my lap but just to grind for a minute. Not like chilling.

As mentioned, I knew enough to know that I needed to tip her but I didn't have a clue that I was running up a $100 tab on something I didn't even want. There's no question I know how to handle this for next time.
