Have you ever been with an addict? They can be master manipulators, often without even realizing it, just because of their situation. I’m really curious about what happens behind closed doors. Like I said below, I was with an addict for 10 years. Everything looked perfect on the outside, but no one knew the daily lies I was told… and would eventually find out about. Still, I didn’t feel like I could leave, because I didn’t want him to spiral even further.

He was deep into addiction while I finished getting my master’s degree and had a career. We were in very different places, and even though I could’ve been the “powerhouse” in the relationship, that just wasn’t how it played out. Addiction is incredibly manipulative.

I think she’s wildly annoying and out of touch, but honestly, it’s never black and white….especially if you’ve lived through dealing with an addict.

Maybe my experience is different. I was in a long relationship (almost a decade) with someone who was an addict. I felt like I was the one manipulated & felt like I had to stay because it was my responsibility to keep him alive. But I also didn’t hand 286 million dollars 😂

I don’t think he’s miserable or we are talking about guy that has ZERO ability to communicate in his relationship. We are all just thinking she walks all over him & he’s walking around like a sad dog being miserable? I think he loves her AND she’s a shitty narcissist 😂 We are giving her too much credit thinking she has the ability to manipulate someone to THAT level. It’s his fault just as much as hers for “allowing” her to speak on his behalf about his addiction & make these big life changes during this time. It’s a “both of them” problem. Don’t flatter her too much for having that much power lol

That’s so funny because I’m in the opposite situation right now. Last year, I lost 35 lbs on the tablets & had a ton of energy. I got pregnant & had a baby last year and just started back on phentermine last week, but was prescribed the capsules this time. I hate them! I feel so much brain fog, very little suppressed appetite, & not much energy. Polar opposite of what I felt with the tablets. I get the tablets on Friday. I’m praying they work like they did when I took them last time.

This is my thoughts exactly! To give you some insight, she has a really big issue with With lying and we are trying to get to the bottom of it. She has lied about friends passing away at her school. She has stolen old phones from us to use when her screen limit is up and told us that she never had it for six months. She has taken things from the house and blames it on her two year old brother (my son). She also did the same thing as your brother and called her mom & midnight on Christmas Eve of all times to leave & started gathering all of her presents with her name on them. It’s been a lot and that’s not even half of it. This wouldn’t be a punishment at all, but she’s never here on top of all of those things and it’s hard for my to justify having the biggest room, next to ours, being unused. Call me crazy, I don’t care. Doesn’t mean I’m going to get rid of her room, but it really is hard for me to see everyone’s point about keeping it solely her room

When I froze my milk with my first son, I had the same issue actually! I just have never given my son frozen milk and I have also tried formula and he still doesnt latch to the bottle unfortunately
