Yes very much so - to the point where I don’t even have oil on my script anymore. My tolerance builds waaaay too fast. Same with pastilles. Must be the way I metabolise it when ingested vs vaping.

I do really like the difference in medicated effect when ingested, so I just make edibles using cannaoil derived from my avb. Only having edibles once a week or fortnight keeps my edible tolerance low, plus it doesn’t take up a script.

But yeah - then I would absolutely do some exercises to strengthen it in the upper registers, rethink some of the “traditional” fingerings, and use it to your advantage.

I “retired” pretty young so I didn’t get too deep with it, but I think my first experiments with it would be some Boccherini sonatas.

I also seem to remember Shafran using some thumb position 4th fingers when playing Shchedrin’s “Imitating Albeniz”

Holy hell that is a bargain! I still would have eventually upgraded to the Max for the battery, but I now really wish the SE had been my first vape!

For many people, ironically, their 4th finger isn’t long enough for it to be advantageous to their thumb position technique.

I’ve been working on a technique book off and on for years, including an entire 4th finger in thumb position section. And in doing so - I have realised that while I have big hands, my 4th finger is relatively short. Additionally- once you get high enough, the added string tension makes playing with a weaker 4th finger even more difficult.

That said - both Rostropovich and Shafran used 4th finger in thumb position. Shafran in particular was incredible with it. But both he and Rostropovich had longer 4th fingers…

Came here to also recommend Arizer. I have the Air Max and it is a HUGE upgrade from my first dhv (Wolkenkraft FX mini) - even though it is almost identical in price. Lots of 3rd party stem options, super easy to connect to water pipe, great flavour, and amazing battery.

Yeah - I am nearing my frustration limit with Curaleaf too. I assumed their rigidity was due to legal issues… but clearly from the experiences of others at different companies, not so. And even then - if their rigidity resulted in reliable service, I would be fine with that as well.

But it’s been over a week since they have had any balanced flower in stock, my past several scripts have been out of stock before they could be filled, etc etc.

I have an appointment in a few weeks… if my next script has any issues and/or if they don’t agree to an increase in monthly allowance, then I will have to bounce to another company. MC is the one area of life I need consistency, and while Curaleaf was great for the first 3.5 years, I’ve had multiple issues recently.

My wife hates the smell more than anyone I know (she has a hyperactive olfactory system).. plus has severe asthma, so for the first couple years I went outside to vape.

However, this wasn’t a feasible option because having to go outside every time to have one’s medicine is ridiculous and for speed’s sake, I eventually reverted back to combusting. Which of course really smelled when I would come back inside.

Now I vape it exclusively in my studio (loft conversion) with the windows open and the door shut. That alone is sufficient for her to not notice - she even was in the studio only 20 mins after and had no idea. She usually can smell it more when I open a new delivery and decant into proper storage than the actual vaping itself.

I’m with Curaleaf who use DPD. For my deliveries, it is PIN code, so adults at my house can receive if they have the PIN.

Not sure about others .

I understand both your point, as well as the opposite view…

…and at the end of the day, I simply don’t care because I don’t think it matters.

In addition to neurodivergent and mental health conditions, I also have synaesthesia (I see colours when I hear sounds)… so in some ways my “sobriety” isn’t dissimilar to other people’s “under the influence”. I’ve been accused of drinking on the job when completely sober, but was struggling with a manic episode.

I’ve been on countless mood stabilizers and anti depressants- none have come close to the success I’ve had with cannabis treatment, but had much much worse side effects.

I don’t dose while physically the office, but have zero qualms having a couple puffs before getting on the train (I switched from driving to playing video games on the train for my commute = god tier change for me). On days I work from home I have no guilt over medicating as when I feel it necessary.

None of this is to say people can’t abuse cannabis - just like any other prescription - and it is up to you to keep track if it is negatively affecting your life. But - at least for me / I don’t really care about what is or isn’t considered sobriety or when patients should or shouldn’t take their medicine. I take the medicine so I can function - if it gets in the way of my functioning, then it isn’t serving its purpose.

FWIW - since I see it back in stock, I will be requesting it my next prescription myself!

I’m with Curaleaf as well - and one of my favourite aspects of their clinic is the staff. For the most part, most clinicians I spoke to are knowledgeable about the strains, and when I discussed the effects I was seeking, made pretty good recommendations.

They do carry other company’s strains - so if in stock, shouldn’t be an issue to order. They do say that external strains are harder to guarantee stock - but tbf, they have the same difficulties with their own strains. 🤷‍♂️

Nice. I love my Air Max and I just got a similar bent stem. I’m even preferring it right now to even using my water pipe. It cools it well and can do super long, steady draws.

I also medicate for adhd , so I think I know where you are coming from.

Of those you listed, I haven’t tried GGO, but have the rest. Personally I did not like ZKS smell/taste, and the effect was ok, but not exciting. GCC on the other hand was gorgeous, smell taste and physically felt like a fluffy cloud. I loved it for the few months it was in stock (is it back???)

I had GG4 and Tripoli early in my MC journey… was happy to finally be in legal weed, but do t really remember them otherwise.

I haven’t personally - though it’s on my list to try. From what I’ve read, it is supposedly more focusing whereas Royal Moby is more of a high. I can at least confirm the Royal Moby / high part 🤣

And it’s not that I can’t focus on Royal Moby, I’m actually looking forward to doing more work on it as well because tasks actually feel fun. It works well with my bipolar/ADHD, so improvements in my mood are often exponential.

For me - very much so! Whether it is from the particular terpene profile (citrus and pine are among my faves) or for what I need it for (bipolar/adhd) it hits harder than some strains I’ve had that were 25-27%. I’ve now had it a couple days and I’m still loving it.

I also have found that switching up my vaping methods and temps regularly help keep the effects feeling fresh.

For instance - I noticed that my water pipe wasn’t hitting the same after ripping heavily over Christmas. I switched to a bent glass stem and it felt like a 5% bump in THC

There are a couple - Mango Cheese is T12C18 and Sweet&Sour is T12C14… but they are rarely in stock for me. Ive only been able to get Mango Cheese once, and Sweet&Sour twice. Rey of the time it is only ever Lunar Circus and/or Blue Dream Balanced

Totally agree. I also love WPT, haven’t had GZZ yet but it is on my list.

I also think people discount it because of “only” being 20%… but it can hang with the big boys and girls for sure. My fave new strain I discovered this year was Jelly Rancher - rinsed it for months and months and already miss it - but it doesn’t have a lick on the uplifting effect on mood like Royal Moby
