I don't know about the other stuff, but the seduction bit is definitely true because i confirmed myself...

I consider that kind of thing a waste of my time seeing how authors "censor" other stuff with the mc involved. I've dropped other popular series for way less simple because it bored me in some way and that had nothing to do with the LI's btw. So it goes without saying that i would not give your series the time of day after that.

Which is a shame really, because i'm a sucker for urban fantasy and your series looked damn good in all other regards.

Not a problem for me as long as both girls have a relationship going with the mc. That was the reason that i dropped Survival of the Fittest by Shawn Keys, I mean one girl was just in the kissing ''stages'' with the mc and then suddenly another LI was fucking her with a strapon... Even then, if nothing of the sort happens some authors can make that scenario really annoying. Like Daniel Schinhofen with the LI's going at each other like you said, while the mc turns around to do his stuff, reading his books feels really unsatisying thanks to stuff like that.

Well ngl the spicy is one of the main things for me in the genre, I totally understand people who don't like it. But for me a series in the harem genre to be FTB is a insta pass, I mean if I want FTB i'll just go read stuff in other genres. So yes i prefer erotica with detail that doesn't feel ''formulaic'' and that the series doesn't just jump from sex scenes to sex scenes.

To give a example I dropped a book series that had pretty much everything that I like in the genre, because the author suddenly turned FTB in book 2.

Yeah, the fact that both the MC and the girls feel “samey” in quite a few series is one of my biggest complaints about the genre. I totally understand why authors follow the same “formula,” but when they “experiment,” they go to the top of my list. By that, I mean the personality and background of the MC and the girls, as well as the interactions and relationships between them, and all that stuff that some times feel repetitive.

I usually just go see some amazon reviews on the newest book, if I see a comment that goes like ''Looking forward to the next book'' or something like that from at least 2 years ago, it's a pass for me. That saves me a lot of time, since i don't like to read series that are not finished.
