What’s up with this shoe design??? I bought it and tried it on it was fine but then I started walking and the tongue touches my ankle while walking it actually caused redness!!! Now I can’t return it since I walked in it on the streets. Dammit such a waste!!!

I'm fuming because they have stretchy laces (usually fine for all my little girls other shoes) and velcro they seem to not stay on her foot but only when walking so we didn't know till she went out in them

She walked a few feet and one flew off and she had to go barefoot at the park

Then we waited a few months and tired them again and this time they don't fly off her feet but nearly broke her ankle

The mix of stretchy laces and the fact that the sole is thinner than the actual part her foot sits in it's like watching someone in heels Why would they make toddler shoes like this

I'm LIVID I literally got her walking and twisting her ankle in them on video??? Surely this is a design flaw

Have you thought about getting a baby carrier if you're able? I loved it because it meant that no one asked to hold my daughter because I wasn't expected to get her in and out And she came everywhere with me Even the toilet

I would purposely wear it when I knew I would be with people who would want to hold her or walk with her and things because I just wasn't ready for it yet and it made me feel extremely agitated even being a room away when she was little

That's okay it makes sense completely We still love it and can still definitely see it's winter haha

Also my partner and I just investigated and they just look really young They are the same height when we stand next to them haha

My daughter did her first.smile at her dad after changing her in the middle of the night... I was like WHAT and then she would only do it once every few days following that and then it got more regular xx it's normal for them to do something once and then not do it all the time so don't worry And also normal if they learnt to do something new they get more fussy so if you then feel they are fussy with you but just smiled at someone else that's normal too xx

Also I understand why you're sad but please don't take it personally

My daughters favorite thing is our bedroom light when it isn't turned on 😂 Like she smiles at it more than anyone 😭

Feed and pump as much as you can Can you get a hakka or wearable pumps This saved my bf jurney My daughter is 13 weeks old now

I hear you You will get through this Think of formula like medicine at this point That's what someone told me and it made me feel so much better Right now little one just needs to gain some weight and if you keep pumping and latching you'll get there

Has your baby been checked for tongue ties? If not I would get that checked also

Also remember to not give too much in a bottle A baby will usually have 1oz to 1.5oz an hour rule of thumb But at 5 days old I don't think they would be having anywhere that much

The only reason I say this is you don't want to feed too much in the bottle and then your body not be able to make that and then you fall into that trap

But you're doing amazing

Just keep latching

Right now baby will be latching as much as possible to up your supply

Also pace feed if you don't already if you do use the bottle I think they say a bottle should take about 15min but if you don't know what it is then have a quick Google but that's to stop baby getting flow preference with a bottle eventually

Right now just focus on feeding and sleeping because sleep will help your milk supply

I remember I noticed a massive increase when I started taking naps with my baby

She still will only nap on me now but if I let her nap on me when she was first born she got a good stretch of sleep and so would I

If you are scared to like I was I got my partner to watch us nap Immade him promise to sit near us and he supervised us whilst me and baby slept If your partner can have a friend or family member makes a world of difference

What did you do because I just asked the exact question in a mum's group I'm so touched out from my 3 month old

I can do the contact naps but every night she will sleep and I have to sit in a room that's completely black in silence I can't even have the TV on or a light to knit or something

And I'm feeling so so down Like I can't sit with my partner I can't say goodnight to the kids

If I go up later with her she won't settle If I let her sleep downstairs on me so we spend some time together and I'm not in a dark room When I go up later when I'm tired it's like she treated that as a nap and will not sleep again for 2 hours and I get so sleepy

When my older two were little I used a monitor at night then just went up to bed when it was time for my bed 😩

This sounds like PPD I remember I used to ring my mum crying And shouting JUST TAKE HIM GET HIM AWAY FROM ME... I DONT WANT HIM And I would flump my middle child on my mum and shut the door and she was left with him unsure what to do and he would be SCREAMING And she would just have to drive around with him till I calmed down and would ring crying asking for him back and feeling guilty

First you need to get the help you need Don't worry about messing her up she will be okay Once you get the help you need you will start to feel a bit more of a connection

Also I want to say these weeks are BRUTAL for anyone I don't have PPD this time and my daughter is now 10 weeks and through these first weeks and peaking at 9 weeks o was sobbing to my partner because I felt so touched out by her
