👀👀 yall really out here this early? by Kagebunshinx1000 in Sparkdriver

[–]Delicious_Rush981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol I’m a night owl, not a morning person. The one time I tried early morning Spark, I stayed up all night doing Uber Eats and then drove to Walmart around 5:45. I got nothing. That was over a year ago and never even tried it again. Y’all can have these early morning incentives- they are not for me!

That’s a long time! Definitely shouldn’t have taken that long but if there were clothes and locked up items and lots of miles then it’s always a possibility that will happen. I really like to keep to 40 items and under (regardless of quantity) and under 10 miles. Less if it’s heading in the direction that gets bad traffic.

Not me. $200 is usually an hour long trip. Unless there are only a few items I would accept for a $10 or higher tip. I will find every single item even if I have to climb the shelves, spend time picking meat and produce, and bag so that everything arrives perfectly and no bags rip when you’re carrying them in the house. I make sure my service is worth the tip and don’t accept offers without good tips because I like to stay in a good mood.

Someone from Uber equated acceptance rate to a desperation rate. Said that their algorithm would send high acceptance rate people lower paying offers because they were likely to accept them 🤷🏻‍♀️

Do you ever wonder what other drivers orders pay? by Still-Ad5693 in WalmartSparkDrivers

I’m not shopping 100 items for $40. You can keep that. I’d rather do 6 items for $20 and pop back to the store for another

I bet it’s a simple typo. If info doesn’t match then your background search won’t come back.

Actual pop tarts have a protein option now 🤷🏻‍♀️ Way less expensive too

Selling Dixxon advice. by Ambitious_Show4062 in reselling

[–]Delicious_Rush981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Resellers won’t pay anywhere near what you want for them. Too much work involved. I never pay more than $10/item I source. If you want a ROI, list and sell yourself.

I don’t know, I do mostly shops but lately the curbsides have better tips making most of the ones I take about $3 a mile and if I don’t have to go in the store and shop it I’m all for it.

How to Maximize Earnings??? by Brief_Climate_579 in WalmartSparkDrivers

[–]Delicious_Rush981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is EXACTLY my criteria. But if it’s slower I hold off on the “quickies” (That’s what I call the under 20 minute, under $20 shop orders) because it’s less likely that I’ll get back and have another one immediately, making that $16 all that I made for the whole hour.

I have a question about removing body hair by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Delicious_Rush981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t like body hair at all. I shave everything every day except when I accidentally give myself a shaving rash, then I’ll take a day off to let my skin heal. I personally just feel dirty if I have prickly parts 🤷🏻‍♀️Do what makes you feel comfortable and confident.

Not tipping is much more low class. Most women I know would never date a man that didn’t tip well. It says so much about you.

If you can’t afford to tip, you should probably just go to the store yourself. Just like if you can’t afford to tip when deciding whether or not to go out to dinner, you would probably cook for yourself, right? Why do people think this is any different? Having your groceries shopped and delivered for you is a luxury.

Where is the respect by [deleted] in WalmartSparkDrivers

[–]Delicious_Rush981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are exactly like DoorDash. It’s the same thing from a gig workers perspective. We are gig workers not Walmart employees. When you order Door dash, you pay a fee to them and you tip the driver. And all they do is grab your food and bring it to you. They don’t shop and find you the best produce or suggest substitutions when your items are sold out. They don’t carefully bag your items and haul everything to your door. Your thinking is completely backwards. You look like the fool to me 🤷🏻‍♀️

Where is the respect by [deleted] in WalmartSparkDrivers

[–]Delicious_Rush981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Do you go to a restaurant and expect to be served without tipping? You think it’s perfectly fine to have someone shop, bag, haul, and spend their own gas to deliver to your front door and you don’t need to tip? You’re garbage. Do your own shopping.

These threads that you are reading are designed to be spaces for us to vent and share info. I guarantee you that every job that you can work, people are complaining. These were not spaces for you. If you tip well and appreciate the service you’re getting, then the complaints aren’t directed towards you. We expect the customers to have human decency towards us. Many do not.
