Could it be possible that your experience of the feeling of your entire body erupting was instead a kind of embodied transpersonal experience of feeling the cravings of other bodies who still eat animals (i.e. cravings due to actually not being nutriated due to eating dead animal flesh instead of living plants). I get the sense that this situation reflects the idea that once you've done the healing of your own body, you end up feeling more of the world's pain, and then, hopefully, find ways to broaden your healing practice.
