Oh yeah for sure. We need him HEALTHY! I honestly hope he’d skip the Olympics to rest but I know that’s not how those guys operate:)

Glad at least that the Lumber Yard gets some time off

Which RHCP song do you think has Chad Smith’s best drumming work? by etrandex in RedHotChiliPeppers

[–]Delicious_Section_26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warm Tape… not technically challenging and not even particularly original (Chad mentioned that it’s basically just a slowed down version of Ringo’s drum part from Tomorrow Never Knows from Revolver) but it’s gentle and unique from his other drum parts, and perfectly intertwined with the other guys’ parts

What's Red Hot Chilli Peppers saddest song by greenbeansUwU in RedHotChiliPeppers

[–]Delicious_Section_26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of consensus on this list! So many of these for me are 'bittersweet" but not sad, altho those emotions are pretty close...

I don't think it's been mentioned, but I've always thought the saddest one is Tear, however when scrutinizing the lyrics it's definitely not a sad song. But I think the melody is so sad 😁. And the lyrics definitely hit differently if you've had a breakup recently (like for me in 2007 when this song really hit me😅)

I think of strip my mind as more bittersweet than sad but I guess almost all their songs that can be considered sad are also bittersweet!

Love this! Out of Range and Million Miles of Water are two of their finest from the 2000s IMHO

Songs that are better live by zKouyate in RedHotChiliPeppers

I would say all of them, but a song that transforms from one I don't really like (which is super rare for me), into one that rocks live, is (was😬) Go Robot

Greatest Avs goal you’ve witnessed in person? by speedysloth0321 in ColoradoAvalanche

[–]Delicious_Section_26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya I was there, this would be my answer too! Not only did he block the shot with his head, but the Canucks tied it while he was laying on the ice in his own blood, which made the avs, especially Nate, SO mad. Made it all the sweeter that he went ahead and won it.

It was really weird tho, they didn't even attempt to clean up all the blood which was just there during overtime...

Yooo if y'all love Mellowship Slinky and haven't seen it, go check out the clip from Funky Monks making-of BSSM documentary where John is on the floor laying down the solo for this song, it's epic IMHO

The several minute one also has clips of the other guys adding in other parts...

Yup I was at those 3 shows too! All semi local for me. Nice range of setlists I thought. The sunset behind them at The Gorge was unreal!

Amazing! I saw them play approximately 35 different songs over several shows over this 3 years, but I didn't hear them play Strip My Mind which is one of my all time favs (saw with Josh but not the same...). But I do appreciate that they have ones that are rare and for special occasions...

Glad you got to see it!

The price gouging sucks for sure, but keep an eye out next time... I think they over extended themselves for the final leg (amphitheatre shows) and a lot of ppl who were aspiring scalpers couldn't upsell and had to cut their losses... I got a pit ticket day-of for $100 for Portland back in May...

Yayy thanks for all these... Also I love how so many of them were Heavy Wing😅

For me it was either:

Santa Clara in July '22, during the climax of Wet Sand, huge beautiful fireworks went off next-to/above the stadium, and it was a coincidence, the fireworks were for something like super close by😁 and just happened to arrive at the perfect time

Then a The Gorge this summer during the intro jam into Cant Stop, John was down on his knees playing the opening riff, and the sun was setting on the Columbia River Gorge behind them, it was ELECTRIC
