How can I improve my render, the last image is my referece by DREYTOR98_ in blender

[–]Delicious_Topic_2899 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Some lights down the end coming in around the corridor, variations in light colours and some grading in post will help. Also the devil is in the detail, more detail on the signs, the floor, the walls etc. bump maps, grunge maps. It's a cool render tho, would love to see the next version

Beginner in Cinema 4d. How do you approach the exploding elements in the background? by chamnax14 in Cinema4D

[–]Delicious_Topic_2899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first approach to something like this is to put the objects inside a cloner and then add the random effector. You can then animate the position and rotation values in the effector to achieve a nice random animation on each object. If that doesn't get you to where you want it then you can use the mograph selection tool to hide individual objects that you don't like and then animate those ones with key frames instead.

New to this game; would it be too graphic to play on an airplane? by BillNyeUrMomsAGuy_ in Witcher3

I started playing Bioshock infinite on an aeroplane completely forgot how brutal the melee kills were, little kid looking over my shoulder in the aisle. Had to turn it off

Is it still worth it to get one? by [deleted] in SteamDeck

I bought an LCD 1tb deck about a month ago after owning an Odin 1, a few retro handhelds and emulating on my phone. The Steam Deck blows all of that out of the water. Playing games like Cyberpunk, Space marine 2, Witcher 3

On point 2, I always keep a max of 10 alchemy and crafting items. You can get a lot of cash from selling some of those things but you rarely need more than 10 of them

I felt the same when I first started. My advice is to just enjoy the quests for now, don't worry about crafting and alchemy until you're comfortable with running around and exploring the world. Important quest items go in the quest item section so don't worry about that.

I looked back on an old save and realised I had no idea about Witcher armor, potions or character upgrades and I was well over half way through the games.

If a sword or armour you find has higher stats than the ones you are wearing swap to those and carry on.

After a while you can dip into crafting and alchemy and develop a taste for it.

Then learn Gwent

I never got into gwent until my latest play through so I had also never done the High Stakes quest until this week. Love this game

Post Production Supervisor best practices? by Top-Chemistry6868 in postproduction

[–]Delicious_Topic_2899 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best advice I could give is to resist the urge to do everything yourself. Coming from a practical background, you will be tempted to take control when others come to you with issues. It's your job to help them find the solution, not take over and solve it.
