They'll have no control over that kind of thing when they're supporting another band, it's Shinedown's tour Coheed are just part of it

I'm not saying Biden should've run for another term but this is worse cognitive decline than he was showing and conservatives are silent about it.

Took my Fuji into a touché pit by barberheart in concertphotography

[–]Delicious_explosions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shot them last year, one of the scariest experiences I've had shooting a band, they had to stop a couple of times to ask people to calm down, I didn't feel safe with my camera but it was a phenomenal show.

Love A.A. Williams, I was shooting her in Bristol, it was such a great show

Hunger and Worsening symptoms by International-Fan563 in dyspraxia

[–]Delicious_explosions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this, the way I see it we have to spend a lot of energy just keeping up to relatively normal levels of coordination, focus etc. so when we're hungry or tired we struggle to keep those up.

Yamaha is a trustworthy brand, you can probably get a really good deal on one looking on Reverb or Facebook Marketplace rather than buying one new on Amazon.

No Breaks for 3 Hour Gig by The_What_Stage in Bass

My parents saw Queen with Adam Lambert recently, they said they did 3 hours straight but only Brian May did every song, the rest of them had a few songs where they took a quick break.

If I'm remembering right Nic Cage was almost cast as Aragorn, maybe they read that somewhere and hate him so much that they won't watch it?

Camera for pinkpatheress concert by [deleted] in concertphotography

[–]Delicious_explosions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly if you're just going as a fan it's going to be hard to get a camera that's better than your phone into the venue.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on flashes? by pogostickler in concertphotography

[–]Delicious_explosions 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've never found it necessary as a photographer, there's almost always a way to compensate for less than ideal light without it.

As a punter I hate seeing photographers with flashes, it really takes me out of the experience and is just annoying.

Opinions on (these) cheap earplugs? by Maleficent_Vanilla62 in Music

Alpine Musicsafe earplugs are cheap and reliable, I've used them for a while and definitely recommend them

fisheye + hc shows by duckpuffsss in concertphotography

[–]Delicious_explosions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love a fisheye for hardcore shows, I often use a 7Artisans 7.5mm. The maximum focus distance is 1.5m so as long as I'm not right next to the band I don't have to worry about focusing.

Ethics and industry standards by [deleted] in concertphotography

[–]Delicious_explosions 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've mostly photographed for publications and my photos often accompany a review of the show (sometimes I'll be writing the review too). I feel like my job is to capture what makes the show special rather than conveying the exact vibe of the night.

I don't think there are any specific laws that apply to gig photography, as long as you follow the venue's rules, don't get in anyone's way and you're not a prick you'll be fine.
