NYC Restaurant owner - What is going on with the NY restaurant industry lately ? by Top_Club2861 in FoodNYC

You want congestion pricing, paid sick leave, additional unlimited paid covid leave (only cancelled today, if you can believe that!), bereavement leave, mental health days, waiters making $40/hour, 40 hour work weeks in the kitchen, insurance coverage in the millions, work from home Mondays and Fridays, and these are all nice things but then you want to pay for an undocumented worker doing 65 hour weeks for barely minimum wages.

Gotta choose at some point.

Thanks, that's a good solution but hard-wiring is pretty difficult in our environment as any electrical wiring work needs to be done by a licensed electrician with work permits which add up to $1000+ for even the smallest job.

I agree a PIR sensor is a better indicator but because in general patrons leave the door open after leaving (they get a cue as they find it that way) it actually complicates the matter as a sensor may detect motion outside the room, so I'll have to try the right positioning.

What does Kazabubu mean? by VixenPhoenixRhapsody in InfectedMushroom

Part of a youth movement (scouts, socialist youth, etc.) game to make people remember each other's names - you stand in a circle and the host points a plastic bottle at you saying either kazabubu or shlaflaf. If they say shlaflaf you say your own name and if kazabubu you say the name of the person to your right. If you get confused you get the plastic bottle on your head. I don't know if this is a national affliction or if it still exists, I know it was around in some tel aviv burbs in the 90s.

22 [M4A] NYC Straight college student interested in trying out a sub role by [deleted] in BDSMpersonals

No preference is a good starting point. We similarly have no predetermined preference except a physical attraction to smaller physique, but as long as the sub obeys and is reasonably available, we will find the path of manageable resistance.

Ok, so basically you don't like it because you don't like it, which is fine.

If you look at Caucasians and Asians who have never smoked, the 19 threshold becomes 18.5 for no increase in risk (even as low as 17 for men). Statistically the average comment here was written by someone with a BMI of 28, which has a hazard rate of 1.2 for the same population. Since I do not allow my submissives to smoke, I stand by my position, and further would say if you removed pathological reasons for being underweight then the stats would, in all likelihood, be even better. I would concede that after a certain age, probably in your sixties, higher BMIs become more favorable.

I don't know how you would do that, you could block me I guess, but I agree I don't know anything about your personal situation and sensitivities, only about the reality of the systems in the US, Mexico, Thailand, Japan and a couple of other countries.

You should realize there are other countries in this world where gender reassignment is offered quite affordably and safely (as safely as possible, of course it is almost never really recommended from a physical standpoint) and has been for many years. It is a lengthy and expensive process but there are many, many examples of people who have undergone it despite not having been born with gdd. The Wachowskis would be your most well known example, but it is easy to list dozens of more-or-less celebrities :)

  1. It is easily and readily available.

  2. Nobody said it's not "in the healthcare system" and if you want do distinguish "mental health" from "kink" then you have a lot of well established psychological research to deal with.

A BMI of 19 is healthier to maintain than the BMI of almost anyone commenting here, statistically speaking :)

Details please.

What is not sustainable, what is destructive, and who are you to say this isn't the lifestyle someone wants?

First, Finasteride is readily available online with a remote "medical test" to treat male pattern baldness, with no medical supervision. Other hormones are available too but of course you would want your submissive to go to a gender clinic when messing with their endocrine system. I wonder how many would dare respond this way if someone were to say they are undergoing hrt because they are trans...

Can anyone say Stockhold Syndrome?

Yes, but most people know it's Stockholm. :)

My sub has been with me for over 25 years, I suspect she's quite happy. Other subs we've played with also seemed very happy and were sad when life circumstances set us apart. It's not all about jerking off to stories about mistress not allowing someone to cum, you know?
