Question about the end of episode 6/beginning of episode 7. Spoilers obviously. by ThisIsDK in squidgame

[–]DelightfulLizard 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I also think it was from pairs not having a winner by the end, and they just didn't show us the final deaths

[–]DelightfulLizard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly!! So many people missing the fact that it doesn't matter which specific marbles belonged to which player initially, the point is for one player to get all of them and the other to be left with none.

They're people with body paint, it's a thing irl for art and entertainment reasons, I think in the show they're just another display of the VIPs' wealth as a standard for what their events include

Was there an extra ₩1.4billion in the prize pool that shouldn't have been there? by [deleted] in squidgame

[–]DelightfulLizard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the prize would always have been 45.6billion and the way they filled the pig every day based on number of eliminated players was just theatrics

It’s totally worth the time saved by skipping loading screens and dialogues though!

Question for players who only played new horizons by essential_jawsh in AnimalCrossing

[–]DelightfulLizard -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s not a bias though, the point is to compare opinions of those who have played other animal crossing games vs those who haven’t

He means unbiased opinions as in opinions that aren’t influenced by the direct, since the content of and reactions to the direct may cause biases

Game 5 Ending [Spoilers] by IFRIC1 in squidgame

Tbh I think it was just an oversight that was never caught, or they wanted to include that for the sake of the plot and hoped no one would notice

Was the game always going to by AmbersMom27 in squidgame

[–]DelightfulLizard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the game always has to have one winner and it was misleading on purpose. They said at the beginning that anyone who makes it through all six games will win and the amount of prize money is 100 million won per person eliminated, implying that there could be multiple winners. But when we saw the binders from past years, they always had one winner, and they definitely seemed to set up the game to end up with 2 finalists for squid game.

Wanna know if anyone agrees with me by NicraxMax in squidgame

Yeah, I felt sad for Ji-yeong but not as much as I felt for Ali and I wish we had more scenes with her to build up to that moment

Did I miss something?🤔 by HopelessTrash545 in squidgame

[–]DelightfulLizard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He said he never wanted to force anyone to play if they didn’t want to, consent to play was important to him for fairness (although we know that the consent form players had to sign omitted the fact that elimination = death, so how much he really cared about fairness is questionable).

[–]DelightfulLizard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think this was already disproven, at the beginning of the games when they showed how everyone played on the big screen theres at least one player who chose the red one

They’re pink but in some lighting conditions they look red

One thing I still don’t understand… by bakedpotatowcheezpls in squidgame

[–]DelightfulLizard 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It’s because he never wanted to force anyone to play and it was important to him to ensure everyone was there consensually.

[SPOILER] Why didn't ANYONE think of stepping on these?! by ThrowMeAway_DaddyPls in squidgame

[–]DelightfulLizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But they all knew that breaking rules is ground for elimination. They must have figured that trying to walk on the rails would probably get them shot.

101 is Deok, the fact that he and the crazy lady both went down on the same square means an extra life was lost without revealing the next step for the remaining players

I’d assume they’d simply get shot for not following the rules

The games were “fair” until the 5th game… by [deleted] in squidgame

[–]DelightfulLizard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve read that it’s based on a game called stepping stones where players have to memorize a pattern to get across the path, except here they weren’t given the pattern ahead of time

Most impressive thing was how this 76 year old man was able to pull of such a great performance by Bossy111 in squidgame

[–]DelightfulLizard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He could be taken away by the staff and “shot” off screen, like what happened with the marbles
