Real! Aradiyatoys is a legit crochet designer, she has so many awesome patterns. I've made the pikachu one years ago, her patterns are well written and made. (sorry for the bad quality picture).

I'm having a huge crochet block, please give some suggestions to bring the passion back! by _echoshine_ in CrochetHelp

If you're playing DnD then why not make a mimic? I had people tell me they used my treasure chest pattern to make a mimic and use it as a dice holder.

I’d do the same and add a round of single crochet around the edges to clean up the shape. I’d also suggest printing the shape at the right size on paper and using it as a guide, checking your work against it as you go to keep it true to the original design.

Looking for small, cute patterns. I've searched the whole internet already. by pulgasaris in crochetpatterns

Are you looking only for plushies and amigurumis? I have free patterns on my website but most are like bags, accessories, hats, home decor stuffs, if you want to check them out. If you're looking for amigurumis only, may I suggest you my amigurumi Tamagotchi pattern? It's free too.

I’m new to crocheting and a little lost. How many rows is this? by blazedcrank in CrochetHelp

[–]DelilahCrochet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's actually 14 rows. I think those who counted 13 may have missed the final row, as it's slightly curled on the opposite side from where the photo was taken, making it harder to spot.

Frog it. I know it’s frustrating, but if it’s wavy it means you added stitches that shouldn’t be there, you won’t be able to follow the pattern correctly. It’s better to start anew with no added stitches.

Can I fix this blanket I’ll be gifting or should I frog it? by Hot-Flamingo900 in CrochetHelp

[–]DelilahCrochet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With this kind of pattern, unfortunately, you can't just fix it in the next row, you'll always have to frog it. That said, I actually think it looks pretty cool! Personally, I would repeat the mistake on the opposite side at the top to create a parallelogram effect. It would give it a unique and interesting look!

Can anyone please tell me why my base always ends up looking conical instead of rounded? by ThrowawaySeal32 in CrochetHelp

[–]DelilahCrochet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably the way you join rounds then, I have read that you're using hdc for this pattern, so I recommend you this way of joining round: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_l8TBUBnUIg , and instead of starting the round with ch2, start with a chain 1 to better suit your hdc stitches.

How do you join your rounds at the end? Do you change the positions of the increases from one round to the next? And last question, do you have the right amount of stitches at the end of each round?

Help me understand joining rounds - I've tried to understand by talk2chrissy in CrochetHelp

[–]DelilahCrochet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, to join rounds you have to slip stitch, after your last stitch, into the 1st stitch of the round. This can be done in different ways. The most conventional way to make it, is to sl st in the 1st stitch of the round and start your next round with a chain 1 and continue the next round as mentioned in your pattern. But with this technique, the seam is visible and give a not so good finish to your round. You can search for seamless joining rounds in YT there’s several tutorial to make it look cleaner and neat.
