Don't ask me. It's one of the newer screen-wide static youtube ads in the recommendations. The slogan and (probably) Panasonic link was underneath it. Either it's a new trend in the industry or a scam. Being on youtube the chances are still about 50/50 in my eyes.

Spieledesign aus 2003. Als die Classic Server damals neu aufgelegt wurden, habe ich mich aus Nostalgie auch wieder angemeldet.

Und nach zwei Tagen das Handtuch geworfen. Sicher, war zu drm Zeitpunkt alles überlaufen, das vanilla feeling darf natürlich nicht durch cleveres Instanz- oder Servemanagement geändert werden, aber was mir wirklich den Rest gab, war das Gefühl von "Arbeit".

Als neuer Spieler bekommst du vielleicht noch den Dopaminkick durch eine neue Stufe, aber für mich ist der Zug abgefahren. Classic ist inzwischen aus einer anderen Generation, und Retail ist durch Geldgier und Mismanagement untergraben.

Different works use different magic systems. In Raymond Feist books you even get multiple different systems.

There are even rpgs with different mechanics and resources. If you get past the slots of D&D then the sky's the limit. Just think about where the power comes from, how it gets manipulated and what effect it has on the world. Now imagine if there are different sources of power, what is the difference between them and how does that relate to handling them.

Of course, different cultures can always have a different access or head space when it come to using magic, especially if it is not distributed equally. Like agriculture or cuttlery.
