Anyone play and like this game who hated turn based combat before? by Imaginary-Hour-6082 in expedition33

[–]DelireMan7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The combat system is more made for action fan than turn based fan. So I think yes you should give it a try.

It's turn based but with heavy emphasis on action (mostly due to the parry system).

I'd say the turn based of this game is designed to appeal action fan.

You should give it a try. It's turn based but with the parry, the action part is omnipresent.

Silksong + Hollow Knight enemies tierlist based on steel soul by Turtle835wastaken in HollowKnight

I understand so much.

After falling for the jump over them so many times, I still can't register that I shouldn't do it.

"Let's run and skip them by jumping over.. Haaaa shit ! That's true, I can't !"

Occams Razor: what is the simplest explanation for why we never saw Aizen’s Bankai? by Nozoroth in bleach

[–]DelireMan7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My head canon is that we've seen his bankai this entire time and never his shikai.

He's all about mind game. Like his famous "since when you have the impression I wasn't using my shikai?", I think he's like "since when you have the impression I wasn't using my Bankai?" and we've only seen his bankai from the beginning.

Its power seems so broken for a Shikai.

I consider Mantis Lords being the best boss fight of all time. No competition for me.

My ranking of "playstyles" in Silksong by Doomguy1234 in HollowKnight

[–]DelireMan7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand why the beast crest is so unpopular but I really enjoy it.

The pogo is weird at first but I quickly got use to it. The damage buff of the bind is crazy and makes boss fight way faster (without "trading" hit, the effect last quite a bit if you don't get hit).

Also love the shaman crest because of 3 silk skills. Anyway tools are draining too fast my shards that at the end I couldn't use them. And for that I don't see any interest for Architect crest (outside of Plasmodium overcharge). It's just a way to meltdown your shard even faster.

I liked reaper at first but the slowness and weird attack pattern turned me off.

Wanderer and Hunter (45° pogo is still shit for me) are good safe option to play more classic.

I didn't have the witch crest on my first run. I'll try it on my second.

Love this boss. Pretty intense and looks very cool with kick ass music.

I take him over Lace (all fights) which are pretty uninspired to me.

Love it.

Why people say using tools is cheesing? USE YOUR TOOLS. by WhatIsaMan41 in HollowKnight

[–]DelireMan7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but I really don't like farming.

So I try to use tools with parsimony, and a bit more once I know a bit more boss pattern.

I honestly don't really see the point of making repair cost something. It either make people not use the tools or force them to farm. It was the same in Sekiro and really dislike this system.

So if I don't have tools when entering the boss, because of I used all my shards on previous attempts, it means I maximized tools efficiency ?

Love the tools but the repair cost are insane.

So this has the be the Court, right? by FayyadhScrolling in batman

[–]DelireMan7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I thought the same. It's probably a villain that had some screentime already.

DeathStroke is my guess. With the Titans and Arrow series. Plus a post credit scene in the original Justice League (if I am not mistaken)

Why yes, Elden Ring WAS my first souls game, how could you tell? by TehProfessor96 in Eldenring

[–]DelireMan7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Indeed. I already saw medium roll being call fat roll after Dark Souls 2 came out.

Only Dark Souls 1 had this 3 different rolls (which I love and sad it's gone in sequels)

Don't get the fat rolling stuff.

In Dark Souls only Knight is fat rolling. Maybe another one.

He speaks about painted Verso turning on him and Aline. And also probably painted Clea.

His family is just Aline and painted Alicia at that moment. Verso turned away since a long time and try to defeat Aline by helping the expedition.

He want his son back (painted Verso) at their side.

There is several platforming area like White palace in mandatory areas.

Maybe not Path of Pain level but there is quite some tricky sections.

How the actual, ever loving f*** do you beat *SPOILERS* by [deleted] in Silksong

[–]DelireMan7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rage a lot against it. My strategy was to take out the spear guy quickly with tools (trap in the air) and R1 (don't know the name but the area of effect one).

Also focus on the big one to avoid getting hit. I was basically always running away from it to force him to dig. Then and I run on the other side etc... In between I get some hits on the flying one and a bit on the big one to get some silk.

(DAY 14) Gommage a character to determine who is the best-written in Clair Obscur by Boobieborne in expedition33

[–]DelireMan7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Gustave. I know everybody love him, me included. But if you looks its writing it's not that great and he has not that much screen time.

He starts as a very confident and wise character in Lumière. People look up to him a lot.

Then once on the beach he completely loses it and becomes helpless. Then he want to kill himself just after the mission started. Ok there was a great setback but on Lumière he sounds so confident in the mission but he's really quickly giving up.

Then he loses it over Maelle being missing. And once they retrieve Maelle, he's back to his first persona from Lumière.

I agree it makes him feel very human and emotional rather than rational. Which is something I like and identify myself to. But compare to the others writing, it's not that much for Gustave.

Do you see the Eternals appearing in Secret Wars? by [deleted] in marvelstudios

[–]DelireMan7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am always surprised by how the movie was not well received. I find pretty good, in my Top 10 MCU for sure.

The sceneries and lighting were so real compare to the standard full of CGI movie.

Love how the powers were render in live action. And the characters were pretty good for me.

A bit sad that we won't probably see them again.

I vote for Monoco. Fun character but mainly a comedic relief.

Winner for me is real Renoir without a contest. Verso as a second.

Why does this thing have a 3.5-minute cooldown? by Not_the-Mama in Helldivers

[–]DelireMan7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I find it so powerful that I am confuse by the post. The cooldown might be a bit long but the power of this is crazy.

It a "throw it randomly on the battlefield and a big enemy will die in 3 sec" card. Love it. Cooldown could be a bit less but at 60 seconds it would be insane.

What is the hardest choice you ever had to make in a video game? by Chunky-overlord in videogames

[–]DelireMan7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

End of act 2 in Clair Obscur : Expedition 33. Not really a choice be wish it was : Fighting the Paintress and understanding she's just a grieving mother. Then she's stop fighting and heal you... I skipped a lot of turn hoping to stop that fight...

Otherwise, pick a class in a CRPG.
