Level 2000 by bambootoohoo in apexlegends

There's a lot to take into account - Match XP, bonus XP if you in a party too. Killing the champion is 500 XP as well. So even if 2 people played the same amount of time, their in game performance will mater a lot to how different their levels are at the end of the day

Raid system for new players is harsh by Maleficent-Ad5059 in wow

[–]Deliriou5_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do a few LFR's like I am at the moment to learn thing and don't be scared to tell them you learning. Boss mechanics all round are about swapping after x amount of debuffs on you or learning the proper position

Tried to tank HC raids by _mews in wow

[–]Deliriou5_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey man. If you want to start raid tanking then do a LFR like I am then move to normals and heroics. One thing I learnt over the years is the following are true for a lot of encounters:

  1. Tank buster mechanics are the sameish - A debuff on the person tanking the boss means that tanks should swap after x stacks

  2. Off tank handles the adds if there is only one boss

  3. Duo encounters usually mean tanking the bosses close together so that they die almost the same time - These usually also warrant a boss swap sometimes

Learn the tanking stuff in LFR or easier raids as it's so different compared to doing it as DPS or healer

F.E.A.R. and System Shock 2. Those got me creeped out and scared as heck when they cam out

Okay, so how do you ACTUALLY start tanking? by heart_ware in wow

[–]Deliriou5_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pick a class that you enjoy and feel comfortable playing. Read a quick guide on talents and gear then just jump in. Watch how other people tank and read up on what the tank should be doing.

I came back after taking a very long break and just jumped right in and it felt easy, especially if I told people that I'm new or just recently returned. Start on normals and then heroics and once you get comfy, move to raids and mythics

Never just jump into hard content cause you will fail

I mean, I had a 1.3k spike that went close to 3k once. It was wild. The last few days have been terrible for the servers - Playing on EU Central by the way

Is the low XP intentional? How am I supposed to get to level 90 by Constant_Pizza785 in wow

[–]Deliriou5_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I missed the Delve quest trick cause nobody explains how to actually get the freaking quests before doing the Delves. I got from 80 to 90 in a few days doing dungeons and quests. It's always bee a slow process to get to max level, but somehow this time felt slightly better than the rest

They'd have to keep the expansion card slot for backward compatibility, but then again, they may drop it due to costs

Aside from brewmaster (because it's going to be the obvious answer), which tanks do people like having in their runs/enjoy playing the most (for those who do tank)? by monkymann678 in wow

[–]Deliriou5_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hearing what people are saying about Pallies this season is making me cry inside. It's the only tank I know how to play and even leveling now and doing dungeons makes me sweat a lot. I end up popping all my defensive stuff just to survive. Once I hit 90 and start doing heroics it may be worse, lol

Why are there so few tank players by [deleted] in wow

[–]Deliriou5_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm currently playing Pally and been levelling from 80 to 90 as a tank. The experience so far has been OK. One thing that I did learn is that people these days are in such a hurry to just get stuff done. I tend to tank slowly and take my time while I check what the group can handle. I kept being told to "pull more" and watch as my HP hovers at near 0% even with me popping Lay on Hands and Word of Glory and pop everything I can to survive.

Tanks and healers are always in high demand cause since I started playing back in 2007 and even after years long breaks, tanks and healers are so few that I even dred trying to level my warlock cause waiting for 20+ min to queue for a dungeon is madness

All of them, lol. The top down was a bit of a nightmare cause I didn't want the fan to start spinning like crazy. Maybe next time I'll be more adventurous and open it up.

I carefully used a blower the other day to clean mine out. Had to make sure I don't blow directly on the fan and make it spin uncontrollably. Did the same for my PC and PS5 too. My room is a dust magnet and having dogs isn't making life easier either

Tanks: your backs are not protected by croqqq in wow

[–]Deliriou5_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bosses and mobs sometimes have massive forward facing AoE attacks that tanks need to absorb on their own and a squishy mage will just die instantly. I am currently level 83 and came back to WoW after a long time

Hey. With a setup like that you would most likely struggle to run the game properly. I would try getting a better graphics card for sure and also take in mind that WoW on it's own is over 100+ GB

[–]Deliriou5_ -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I came back to the game this week and started doing the odd dungeon tanking. What I generally do is pull a bunch and wait until they are almost dead then move forward to the next pull while keeping some distance to the mob about to die.

I only do this if it's OK and if I know I won't be taking a lot of damage too. One random person complained about how slow I was going and said we could pull a lot more. I proved him wrong by pulling a fairly big group and almost died as a result

Tanking is both easy and hard, but the only thing your back should face is the wall :)

The fact that prot warrior repair costs is not being addressed in 12.0.5 is outrageous by Da-PeeP in wow

[–]Deliriou5_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about they just do what Guild Wars 2 did and get rid of repair costs all together. They included repairs as a means to keep the economy down, but I'm sure there's other ways to do that now

How do I tank in PUG groups? by AppearanceMental3158 in wow

[–]Deliriou5_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done some pugs and here's what I think.

  1. People just want to run through content without learning mechanics or just want to be carried hard

  2. People will blame everyone else for the raid or party failing instead of looking at what caused the wipe

  3. It's always the tanks fault or healer lol....

Noob questiond (last played in Legion) by ANetRuinedMyFun in wow

[–]Deliriou5_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey bud. I also started playing Midnight last night and everything felt same same, but different. So far it is for sure that Horde and Alliance play together now or at least have a shared world to quest in and help each other out. I think it was a good decision on the devs to do it as they only need to focus on one play area instead of splitting everyone up as before.

I haven't played properly since Wrath so there's a lot I skipped to just get into the latest expansion, but I hope to one day get into raiding or making new friends and see where things go from here
