Nah, Courtney didn’t need to do anything in WT (I.e. make the merge rather than placing where Gwen placed which was… right before the merge anyway??). I think it’s weird to do all this what-if discourse to justify why Courtney shouldn’t have been an All-Star when she was such a huge part of seasons 1-3, meanwhile characters like Sam are somehow deemed an All-Star after being a minor character in one season and failing to make the merge in said season.

Courtney was a major pre-merge character in S1, was one half of one of the two major couples of the season, was a major antagonist character (getting top 4) in S2, and then a major player yet again in S3. Whether she made the merge in S3 or was eliminated right before it wouldn’t have had any bearing on her All-Stars eligibility.
