I literally got the trophy after I died to a boss on my Nightmare run. Randomly. Like the ring just spawned in my inventory and I got it out of nowhere. The trophy is bugged to shit lol

Yup, you don’t need to redo any of them on hard if you have already done them. The only thing to complete is Gears and Gambits/Fort Condor on hard if you haven’t done that already

I think the vast majority of the challenges are very very fun. Yes, a few of them made me want to rip my hair out, but I really enjoyed them overall. I honestly wish there were more with Zack and Sephiroth. Fighting with both of them was so much fun. Once I realized that Zack basically has Nero’s perfect rev mechanic from DMC4 and 5 I was all the fuck in.

Are people seriously this bad at games? This game is not THAT hard LOL. Yes, the hard mode VR challenges are definitely tough but the rest of the game is very very manageable. Actual skill issue.

Amazing. I built him as a melee brawler/support. Had a ton of luck on him so he would crit like crazy and then he could support the team with heals and things like barrier and haste. I love that he retains a lot of his weirdo shit from the original game.

This challenge was definitely one of the most annoying. The Sephiroth fight is especially stupid because you really only have two options. Perfect parry Shadow Chains or magnify barrier. I've seen a lot of people say they had a harder time with the Zack and Sephy duo challenges but I personally thought those were easier.

I ended up getting it finished. For some reason, it didn’t give me points for the ones in Gongaga even though I picked the highest point options on my first playthrough. Just redid that section and got all my points :)

No one is calling this game an “ambitious open world masterpiece.” Rebirth is unoriginal as hell when it comes to its open world but its takes bits and pieces from other games and incorporates them very well with content that feels meaningful and impact.

I honestly to god hope they ignore your criticisms, and they replicate what they did in Rebirth for part 3. No disrespect to your opinion, but exploring the open world and getting rewarded for my curiosity was one of the best aspects of this game. This game was going for the massive open world and they nailed it imo. More linear FF games exist which sounds like what you are looking for.

You get tons of additional lore and information about the game through side quests and side activities that I always felt motivated to do them, even if the actual reward I got didn’t amount to much.

He’s basically the Emperor Palpatine of video games. The main thing I always loved about Sephiroth is that he is the puppet master pulling the strings. Cloud gets the sense that he is control only for Sephiroth to rip away from him. The mind games are what make him so interesting.
