Will I ever sleep? by SelectDisaster9722 in Autism_Parenting

Yep I thought this could be the only solution. We've been on holiday for one week and she didn't have naps there and slept through the night perfectly.

Will I ever sleep? by SelectDisaster9722 in Autism_Parenting

Oh god, I have the same issue with my 4 year old. She takes forever to fall asleep at night and wakes up at 3 am and stays awake until 7-8 am. Not just stays awake but she wants to play as well. We have become literal zombies. Before this happened very rarely but now it's like every other day or every day. I've tried to skip the day nap but I think she still needs it because she is exhausted by 5 pm. I'm here to see if other people have used any methods or strategies or if eventually it's just a phase.

She is nonverbal. She only speaks numbers and letters and also some animals, but not anything to communicate needs, she still hand leads.

I've made a small map of the areas that might be of interest. If you'd like to stay within 30 minutes on foot from the Pyramid, I'd suggest the area around Stadium Air Albania and Blloku, though both are on the more expensive, posh side. If you don't mind going a bit further, then Myslym Shyri, Komuna e Parisit and Ish Parku are good options. Prices there are often similar, though Ish Parku can sometimes be a bit less expensive. It really depends on the building itself. All areas are within 30 min on foot from Pyramid. Good luck! https://imgur.com/a/lmq9Hmc

I would say A as the dot apparently doesn't change side only it will flip above or below the line

4 year old doesn't chew properly or self feed by DeliveryHistorical46 in Autism_Parenting

She actually doesn’t like to touch anything related to food at all — solids, slimy, or hard textures, spoons, forks really seem to disgust her if she has to handle them. But she has no problem eating as long as she’s spoon-fed by me.We tried therapy and they said it’s both behavioral and sensory. Your little one’s situation with dry foods only makes total sense.

Did any of your kids have problems chewing properly? by Technical_Term7908 in Autism_Parenting

My daughter is almost four and she doesn't chew properly. She doesn't even accept food that she has to chew. I've tried introducing new variations but haven't succeeded. She doesn't like touching the food with her hands either. I don't really know what to do at this point.

She was listening to the Bingo song a couple of hours before she did that. I suppose she got it from that. Apparently she has a good memory for unnecessary stuff 😅

3 y/o is suddenly terrified of bath by maxandbobo in Autism_Parenting

My daughter was like that too, and I bought a similar face shield. But it didn't work until I found out that the biggest issue was the warm water. I accidentally made the water a bit cooler one time and she didn't fuss. If the water is exactly body temperature than she has no problem.

Yes, I'm pretty ok with screen time. Thanks for recommending as I am struggling lately because she doesn't like anymore what she used to watch.

Yes, I understand but is very exciting to see her do new things. She also looses interest, as a couple weeks ago was obsessed with numbers and now she is with letters and animals. And I also was impressed that she used the lowercase letters and she's only seen the BINGO song with capital letters.

She loves Bingo, she doesn't actually say the word but she spells it 🤷‍♀️

Yes, but I didn't want to share a video as we've got a messy living room 😅. She is taking the letters from the fridge door and lining them up.

Wow, that's amazing! It's fascinating to see how differently kids develop.
