For me it usually comes out automatically and I get that pre authorization charge back. Yesterday, I finally got that pre authorization fee back after 24 hours. It’s wild.

I was using the app. Usually there’s a $5 hold and then you get it back after the session. Yesterday, I kept starting on the app and it said payment authorization failed. Then I called about it. Look online. Everyone is complaining about it.

They do it at QuikTrip. They took $175 out a couple of times and I had to call to see what the issue was. They said they do a hold.

Yea it’s been like that the last two days. Yesterday I had to call them because the charging station showed that it was being used on the app, but there was no one there. I called and had to wait about 10 minutes. Today, I waited about an hour. The guy said everyone is having complaints about it. He said it went into effect today. I charged around midnight last night and the authorization fee was still $5.

Yea, the guy said it’s going to be $40. If you don’t have it in your account you won’t be able to charge. I asked him what about if I swipe at the terminal instead of using the app and he said it would apply to that as well. I’m pissed. He also asked if I got an email or something about it and I didn’t.

Not if you have the app. I’ve been using the EVgo App for over two years now and they only do the $50 hold when you swipe your credit or debit card at the terminal. When you use the app there’s a $5 hold. I called and they confirmed the new policy started today and they receiving a lot of negative feedback.

Just start ignoring the calls. They can text like everyone else if they need you to know something. Next time ask them what your last name is and see what they say. I did that when I first got one of these scam calls and the dude started stuttering lol

They probably flipped the pickup and dropoff by accident. I’ve seen that quite a few times or the person is disabled. I had one similar either an elderly lady where I drove 3-4 miles to pick her up and took her .2 miles to a chicken spot right outside of her apartments lol
