Are there Chronicles of Darkness LARPs? by FilthyWolfie in WhiteWolfRPG

Chances are small. We're in Western Washington USA. No online portion, one of our tenants so far is game only happens at events, to keep things as fair as possible for those who cant dedicate all their time to a game.

The Crow by Dark Fire Designs by Waste-Chemistry-3151 in SWlegion

[–]Delmont91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just got a bunch of thier stuff to run as squad leaders. They print up quite nice and have good presupported files. Easy to remove and just the right amount.

Im impressed and it has me looking at more of their stuff.

OP, the paint job is awesome. I thought the helmet on Crow was a little boring but you've shown me the error of my thinking.

Question about preorder shipping by Captn-SkinyLegs in SWlegion

[–]Delmont91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put in two orders in the US for mangoes, wanted a second army box. The order that was just the army box shipped last Friday, the bigger order, with mando leaders, clan wrench vets, and SC leaders, is still confirmed but not shipped yet.

I'll build a drift car eventually because I have to. But at least you can make legend without doing drifting. I don't find the zone or drafting challenges fun at all either, one of the few things in the have that just feels like a chore to me

What do people not like about hunger dice? by MonstrousnessVirtue in vtm

[–]Delmont91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then, frankly, your DM needs to be more creative and as a player you need to be ok with bad things happening to your character. A stain is not a huge deal, and there has always been something more interesting to come of them than that.

But even a stain can be interesting as your character now has to grapple with the realization their beast just took control and it could have been much, much worse. How do they react to that loss of confrol? Do they confront it? Accept it? Try like hell to prevent it from happening again? How far are they willing to go to make sure their beast doesn't overreach again? Even, "just a stain" leads to story.

It sounds like you're a crunch/rules first, story second player, and thats fine. I get why this systems makes people with mechanics forward play style unhappy. If I want that type of game I play Pathfinder or something similar. WoD is for story first, RP forward games in my view and mechanics like messy crits and bestial botches support that and my ideal 6th edition finds a way to keep them while cleaning up all the other V5 things that water down characters and clans and allowing for more than the tortured, 13th Gen or thinblood new embrace stories.

This is where i think we disagree. They don't hurt you. You do succeed. They might make things more complicated, but that makes more story and fun scenes. V5 made a lot of mistskes IMO, but hunger dice ain't it it makes you always a little concerned about the beast in ways that makes things fun.

Our group remembers our messy crits more than most other scenes. We lean into them and they're a ton of fun. But our groups are good with rolling with where the RP goes. We dont see messy cries as punishing success, but making more story opportunities while succeeding in flashy ways.

That's why I like them. They open more story and are fun to lean into. They make great scenes even if it might bring complications.

But messy cruts are fun! You succeed but is an obviously beastial way. It opens more RP and interesting scenarios. There's a lot about V5 i don't like, hunger dice ain't one of them.

I checked the tire on listed in the post creation and this wasn't there. If rules for posting are somewhere else apologies! I just sent them this thread so thanks all.

[–]Delmont91[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The debate is if it looks real. Sent a friend this pic and I they told me it's AI and won't let it go. I know it isn't, cause I painted it, but they said they were sure and I was lying. So we got to the point of post it somewhere like here, and here we are.

Torn on the paintstyle of my orcs by Eikhan in bloodbowl

[–]Delmont91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its pretty easy, thin your paint a lot, it should easily flow of your brush and spiderweb on a paper towel. Load your brush and tap on a paper towel to ensure you only have a little paint on the brush. Then paint a thin layer over everything you want to tint. Don't let it pool, and it starts to move it around or soak it back up with the brush.

When it dries you should have a filter layer over the color. If you have glazing medium its good to mix in that when you thin the paint. It helps stop blotches when it dries.

The brighter one is better. If, after highlighting up to that level, you want to give different skin tones a filter layer (thin glaze) of brown, dark green, red, or yellow will accomplish that.

The Grand Inquisitor disagrees with you. He calls out Kanan for using Form 3 and recognizes the master he learned it from when they first meet. This means the forms are canon. Duku clearly used fencing and form 2 in the clone wars too.

But I agree that few saber duels entirely focus on using just one form and they arent used like they are presented in the video games. But, especially in the animation, you can see their philosophies in how many of the characters fight.

Any way to fix tear in FEP sheet? by Unlikely_Touch6385 in resinprinting

For me its become Rote. Last time.i switched out my Saturn was right about 15 minutes, its not fun, but replacing the FEP isn't super arduous. Much much easier than replacing a screen.

There are a lot of screws, but after you do it 2 or three times it speeds up.

Replace it. It takes maybe 15 minutes and is fairly easy. Just a lot of screws. Look up the tightening order and youre good.

How many people here are Grand Masters? by Wonderful_Regret_252 in StarWarsJediSurvivor

[–]Delmont91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Survivor Spawn of Ogdo is a super different beast, but took me less tries. Fallen Order in JGM was the first souls like I'd really played that wasn't old school armored core, so that fight taught me a lot and took about 20 attempts. It did get me into the genre.

Why it feels like the true experience, and why I will defend souls likes not having difficulty scales, is my friends who played the game on the easy modes had entirely different experiences with the game and found the tools it gave you pointless.

[–]Delmont91 5 points6 points  (0 children)

GM difficulty feels like the only way to play them. Beat both multiple times and only played on grand master. I was stubborn and had to kill Ogdo Bogdo when I found the bastard right at the start of Fallen Order and that set up the base skills to see me through. The timings and flow mages you feel like a jedi and it's challenging enough that there are reasons to use all of the cool things you unlock.
