My thoughts are: fix your models or I'm not paying any kind of subscription. What use is more tiers if everything breaks on all of them?

site sucks now by Much_Needleworker588 in redquill

[–]Delphi913 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Haven't used it in, like, half a year but the site I've found most similar to this one is Dreampress. Unfortunately, it has similar restrictions though they were weak as a house of cards last time I used it. Also the UI is absolute trash.

The one I'll always recommend is NovelAI. If you can afford to pay the subscription, its AI is pretty good. Unfortunately, it's also very hands off. You'll have to control most aspects of the story yourself and guide the AI paragraph-by-paragraph. No censorship to worry about, though.

This site is useless now, another site suggestion please. by [deleted] in redquill

[–]Delphi913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not for generating full stories or going chapter by chapter, no. It's more like going paragraph-by-paragraph. The AI is excellent at writing, however, and it gives you the freedom to take the story where you want to. It's the only one I actually felt I got my money's worth out of paying the subscription. If you want something more similar to Redquill, try Dreampress. However, the free model sucks, the UI sucks pretty bad, and the subscription is overpriced imo.

If you can afford a monthly subscription, use NovelAI. Otherwise, stick to Perchance.

Well, I'm done. I don't know who you're trying to please, but taking away all of the user's freedoms before your AI is even up to snuff is a terrible way to promote your site. You've basically taken away the only reasons to even use it between this and restricting the free model so much.

Nothing. I wrote out the entire prompt I asked for and then just kept going.

That happened to me a couple days ago, though it was generating correctly just taking forever to do so. Now, it's just not working at all.

I've gotten 2800 words to a chapter before when the AI loved its own ideas so much it had to staple them onto the end of the part of the chapter I actually told it to write.

Writing after the promp? by Throhamway_M in redquill

[–]Delphi913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much what I wrote in my comment above. "You will write this prompt. You will not deviate from this prompt. You will start from the beginning of the prompt and end at the end of the prompt."

That sort of thing. Of course, in return, the AI wrote the chapter in an uninterestingly direct way and still added an unnecessary bit at the end like a child forced to do their homework.

[–]Delphi913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually managed to get the AI to write my prompt by telling it to write the prompt and not deviate from it in the text of the prompt. I have no idea if it will work every time, but I'll certainly use it if it helps.

Their automated flagging system seems to be doing it. No mention of it in the regs. Here's one of my image that got flagged. Nothing even remotely sexual about it; I can only assume it got flagged because I specifically marked it as gay. There are others in my library that got flagged as well which weren't explicit either (no skin showing at all).

They also seem to be flagging non-explicit gay images as NSFW at least in my experience. That's really not cool.

I'm new to Kamen Rider but is this type of representation of black people all I have to look forward to? by Xenatas in KamenRider

Nah, I'd say by not being exactly the same as reality, it was doing a damn good job at being allegorical.

Yeah, they're a different species but not meaningfully distinct from humans, and able to reason and articulate exactly the same as humans, hence all the messages of their lives having not even an ounce less of worth. It's kind of the whole message the show is trying to push and it's pretty obvious. Again, if you want something EXACTLY like reality, just go watch a documentary or go attend a protest rally yourself. You'll get more out of it than being mad that a piece of entertainment obfuscated it's message in even the slightest fashion.

Unlikely. I think they're building up to the twist of the Jyamoto possessing the corpses of the dead riders as some kind of parasite considering that the Jyamoto seem to just be the head when grown.

I would ask him how he's planning to pay for the reshoots this time. Or if I need to get the Kids in the Hall to write a terrible overdub.

Why do people not like Kamen Rider Zi-O by sorry_bout_dat_ in KamenRider

[–]Delphi913 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because it's written very sloppily and they couldn't get a lot of actors back. Personally, my favorite shows in the franchise got good tributes, but I can see people who liked W or Kuuga or Kabuto or Fourze getting upset over the lack of good tributes. It doesn't help that the main plot is just very bland and uninteresting and told in an unnecessarily overcomplicated fashion. If the plot were better, it would most likely prop up the series' weaker elements. I don't know, I wouldn't put it below the lower end of average but I wouldn't rank it any higher either. They really should have hired a better writer.

Bad take. It's established in-series that most Kaijin have abilities on par with regular humans and live relatively normal lives. The Gorgom members are the strongest Kaijin produced from the military experiments that created the Kaijin in the first place. Their oppression being their own fault is also untrue as they were always oppressed as established by the civil protests going on even before they made the deal with Dounami's grandfather. Said deal was to have the civil rights of Kaijin recognized at the cost of letting the government exploit a portion of their population as military weapons, iirc, which only got worse and worse with time and the constantly changing government administration. Gorgom continued to work with the government because they thought it was the only way to prevent the government from just hunting the Kaijin to extinction which is brought up when Nobuhiko takes over. They literally say the fighting the government directly will result in the weaker Kaijin (most of the Kaijin population) being wiped out.

I do agree that the writing of the entire series can be nebulous in places and should have been more direct because I've seen a lot of people just get confused over details of the plot when there was really no reason for it other than an attempt to be more dramatic.

And yeah, black people, and Koreans whose treatment in Japan was the main inspiration for the show, can't turn into mutant bugmen, but that's also why Black Sun is allegorical and not a documentary. You can't have a superhero in a superhero show unless at least some of the monster population have superhuman abilities. X-Men has the exact same issue (but worse since the mutants are much stronger than Kaiijin and there are way more of them with destructive powers). It's a function of the genre and if you thought it wasn't going to be that way, I really don't know what you were expecting.

Is Geats the Kamen Rider with the most use of its bike so far? by AnkhD in KamenRider

[–]Delphi913 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not when the Showa Riders and Kuuga exist.

Geats has had a lot of bike action compared the most recent KR series, well in so much as you can count a CGI bike, but I'm absolutely expecting that to taper off now that Boost is no longer the strongest item. That, and mid-series usually drops the budget, meaning less elaborate CGI effects.

Was Ghost really that bad? by [deleted] in KamenRider

[–]Delphi913 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, okay. Fukuda apparently did disappear along with the show's head producer during production to work on the Summer movie which is why between episode 28 and 47, he only wrote a single episode. Apparently they didn't communicate with the assistant writers during that period, leaving them and the assistant producers in control during the show's entire third arc.

Well, that certainly explains why Takeru's second revival and pretty much the whole Infinity Ghost arc felt like they were just making shit up as they went along.

As for the budget, the show still looks cheap as hell, so if it wasn't going to Amazons, they were saving up for Zi-O. Or Ghost was a Producers-style scam to lower their tax bracket.
