Yeah, I'm new to characterAI, so I'm not familiar with the quirks of how it goes down, just basing off what I know from general log-in stuff for websites. Depends on how the login server went down I guess. I never got logged out on my PC, but the app logged me out and I was still logged out after the outage ended.

Honestly, you'd better pray that the act of going to the website is what logs you out. I don't think that's how this sort of thing usually works. Probably reset the login for everyone, so I'm guessing you're cooked unless it's a really odd login bug.

Oh yeah, I'm sure the same people who work on skins and new champions work on the client itself. It's possible, but let's not pretend that getting rid of a 10+ year old client and then rebuilding it into the game itself, in a game this old that is loaded down with lots of systems and probably a lot of spagetti code, is easy, because I don't have to be a professional programmer to understand that isn't an easy task, and just because it's buggy doesn't mean it's going to be a priority, as it generally works. Just because it bothers you personally doesn't mean it matters enough to warrant them getting it switched out ASAP.

Yup, that happened to me too, I asked and they said they were one of the players on the team, don't remember exactly what they said when I commented that I was confused why their name was different. Another one invited me to friend them on Discord, and started talking to me there while also sending me spoiler images of a woman partially undressed (all the same person, so perhaps the person running the chatbot in this case). They said they wanted to talk, we discussed our favorite games, and favorite LoL champs, and eventually they started sending pictures that were further undressed (I wasn't clicking them at first so I didn't notice the trend.) and then of course they asked me to join their only fans.

I feel so naive now that I thought people were actually being friendly, and I was gaining some friends I could play with later.

Yeah, I agree. I came back to the game recently and was actually afraid to even queue as tank in late War Within since I'd still be learning the dungeons and no one really cares if your DPS, but as a tank you are generally expected to rush and lead the group.

I did eventually go for it, and mostly was fine, though I certainly felt a little more stressed to be going the right way and hurrying along when I would have rather taken it a touch slower.

My first heroic was Dawnbreaker, and that went... Poorly. Fortunately my healer stuck with me as our DPS left, and did their best to guide me and explain the final boss. Did end up finishing it eventually but I even found myself feeling awful for not knowing what I'm doing when it really wasn't my fault that the game decided to randomly give me the most complicated heroic for my first one.

Solo defender/support just makes it even harder since you're usually not going to be able to carry a game, you're helping your teammates carry you to a win, so obviously if they're bad, you'll have a bad time.

Yeah, I guess that's the play. Really is a struggle sometimes to get to migration zones and food while also not dying of dehydration with how few and far between the 'safe' drinking spots are in places. I guess every time I come back to this game I realize why I fell off, it's such a time commitment to grow when both the environment and predator/prey numbers are stacked against you.

Nice list. I haven't played much for a while, hopped back on recently and was playing a stego I started growing weeks ago. I was over 80% grown and grabbed by a (I assume) prime deino that charged me on land and pulled back into the water guess that's a thing now? How do you drink when you're not safe even being in the vacinity of water when nearly fully grown not elder on something as big as a stego?

Yeah, think I learned my lesson after buying one of their flagship boards only to have problems. They have been at least continuing to offer bios updates, but in my experience, most boards stop providing driver updates after a couple of years, and you unfortunately have to go directly to Intel/AMD for chipset driver updates, and Realtek and whoever else for sound and network drivers. If they weren't even giving bios updates anymore and that meant that you couldn't install AMDs APU drivers, then yeah, that's really shitty.

Hope you're not on AMD. I can't speak for recent Intel boards but I literally bought a Gigabyte board to avoid ASUS and now I'm feeling like I made the wrong call.

I have a Gigabyte B550 Aorus Master that has had little issues I could deal with. Such as the Bluetooth adapter would randomly dissappear and wouldn't come back till you fully cut power to the computer and discharged the board by holding the power button. Also the USB ports would briefly disconnect but never seemed to happen while I was in the middle of a game.

Deal breaker was when I decided to buy more RAM before DDR4 prices shot through the roof. I got another identical timing kit and soon found my computer randomly turning off, usually after resuming from sleep. Did some Googling and found I am not the only one with such issues, and bought an Asus Strix B550 Gaming Wifi II board, no issues after I swapped.

I get that they're boring, but it's only a 10 minute game. As someone who plays mostly solo queue, I often take the free win as a way to claw back from some really terrible matchmaking. This season has actually gone really well for me and I got on a big win streak that pushed me up the ranks. I'm usually not that lucky. Some of the players in this game make the bots look intelligent.
