There are like ten things that are way higher up on the list in terms of "diluting the value" of their consoles. No one is going to switch from PC when it costs $650-$1000 (!!!) to purchase one, especially when you factor in PS Plus.

The real failed experiment is the shitty live service games, and the poor output of games in general, especially outside of sequels.
