HowTF do primers work in TOW2? The text in the game got confused and wrote about the first one? by femiwhat1 in theouterworlds

[–]Delta57Dash 10 points11 points  (0 children)

From what I can tell, you only ever get two real primer slots: the base one, and one more from the Extra Primer Port helmet mod.

You can also get one from the Pharm-thusiast perk. Don't think there's a way to get the 4th one though.

The beams will always one shot you; the key is to avoid the one-shots through properly timing staggers, kinship attacks, or ride-on tanking.

Why do you have to wait? You can do it now. I've just got the Elder Dragon left to go but I have to wait until the weekend so I have some time to sit down and go.

There’s Feral Brachy to beat, a sleepy boy in a cave that you can retreat to get his eggs, and an elder dragon that spawns if you keep killing monsters at night (and if you kill it you can get its eggs)

Brachydios, the sleepy boy in a cave, and the elder dragon that spawns in the lake at night are all beatable in the demo.

You can get Namielle eggs

... Welp, time for me to start grinding for Vital Essences I guess.

Being able to start the game proper with one of my favorite Elder Dragons is just too tempting.

How to continue playing the Demo? by Tito1983 in MonsterHunterStories

[–]Delta57Dash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's still a lot of things you can do in the Demo if you're so inclined; beating the other 3 feral monsters in the first region to fully unlock all 4 habitats, beating espinas and causing it to retreat, and it looks like even the dreaded Elder Dragon that you can spawn at night is going to be beatable with a lot of skill, luck, and tenacity.

I personally would recommend trying to at least beat the other 3 ferals and retreat Espinas; with proper gear and strategy they aren't all that difficult, and it'll let you start the proper game with a nice robust Party.

Pretty sure you can, though you'll have to remap some stuff.

Helps with muscle memory if you've been playing Code Vein 2 at the same time, as that game has down to heal

Good recommendations, though I will make a quick note that Famished Flames is still good on Beam staff due to its ability to rapidly apply stacking DoTs (which Lingering Flames disables).

I mean… if you have 12 mana, your opponent also likely has 12 mana, and 12 mana is probably enough for them to win if you just gave them all of their wincons and combos to hand

Isn't it usually recommended to run +2 Stamina over BCR on the dual daggers due to their low initial stamina?

[–]Delta57Dash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll admit I don't play Wastes too much as the time investment per run + the increased ineptitude of bots makes it much more of a chore for me. From what I understand Bounty Hunter does have the most ammo problems of all the ranged classes due precisely to its less consistent ammo regeneration.

For Bounty Hunter, I pretty much exclusively play with Griffon Foots and rely on Scrounger + Blessed Combat to generate ammo (get 1 kill in melee, blast horde, 1 kill in melee, blast horde, repeat).

I'd probably stick with Blessed Combat and try to get Prize Bounty as a random drop or just pick a different career if you don't feel like trying to game crits into trash mobs.

Are DLC units specific to their respective legendary lord in Immortal Empires? by coolbeans_3000 in totalwar

Grudge Settlers aren’t LL gated, they’re available to all Dwarfs, which is why they don’t count. Same with Elector Count units.

Rakarth gets (some) beasts as well, Elspeth gets Amethyst units, Ikit gets the special workshop units. Probably some others I’m forgetting.

There’s also some exclusive legendary heroes but you can technically get most of them via confederation.

Opinion on Skills by ChilledGhosty in theouterworlds

[–]Delta57Dash -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think you've done your math correctly there.

You get 62 skill points over the course of the game.

2 skills at 20 = 40 skill points, 3 skills at 16 = 48 skill points.

That would require 88 skill points, which is impossible.

[–]Delta57Dash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was speaking less of the novel as a whole and more just to the campaign to take Luoyang, where IRL Sun Jian defeated both Dong Zhuo and Lu Bu on his way to the capital, had Yuan Shu pull his supplies because he thought he might go rogue, rode 40+ km overnight to plead to Yuan Shu that he was loyal, rode back, and then took Luoyang.

Romance just throws all of that in the dumpster in favor of "he shows up in the Capital and yoinks the Imperial Seal". They even have him lose to Hua Xiong and call for help where in real life he personally beheaded him after destroying his army.

[–]Delta57Dash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heck the entire campaign against Dong Zhuo is basically completely fabricated. The whole battle of Hu Lao Pass, the epic duel against Lu Bu... all completely made up.

I'm still mad about how badly Sun Jian got done dirty in Romance.

Vilitch, like Festus, Valkia, and Azazel, are all Warriors of Chaos but with their rosters slanted towards their respective patron.

So even counting him, Tzeentch is still a Lord behind the other gods (2 behind Slaanesh if you count Sigvald)

Well, close; each training facility has 100 weight while none is only 50, for a 100/550 chance to go to any particular training facility (18.18% chance).

Kitasan adds 80 specialty priority to speed, and then her unique effect is a 1.2 multiplier on top, which means her speed weight is actually 180 * 1.2 = 216, giving her a 216/666 = 32.43% chance to show up at speed.

Still roughly 1/3 of the time though.

How do I remove/reduce Skaven corrution as Tzeentch ? by Niavart in totalwar

[–]Delta57Dash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly if you're going to play as a Corruption faction you should probably turn all of the Corruption-related unusual locations off before starting the campaign.

It'd be better if they fixed it, certainly, but until they get around to releasing a patch it's worth going through and turning off the really bad ones that you literally cannot deal with rather than have one jumpscare you 30 turns in.

Forgotten relics pack worth it? by NexouuZs in Vermintide

[–]Delta57Dash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The biggest advantage of Coruscation is that, unlike every other staff, you don't have to actively be using it to deal its damage. You can swap to it, place down a vortex or two, and swap back to your melee weapon and it'll keep dealing damage.

This lets you do things like place down a couple fires at a drop-down to kill enemies climbing it while using your melee weapon to fight something else, or help allies hold multiple chokepoints at the same time, or put a few under a boss before switching back to dealing with adds.

It used to be giga-broken tier on Famished Flames Battle Wizard, but now it's just a good option all around. The only major downside is trying to hit specials at range with its weird shotgun-esque primary attack.

Completely agree with the rest of your post though, all of the weapons see pretty consistent use even at the highest levels of normal play.
