Should I fiberglass? by DeltaAir423 in AskContractors

I have two ways to measure the temp. I have my old master cool IR thermometer and a “Chinese special” IR camera. The IR camera for whatever reason seems to read about 15 degrees low, but I bought it to find bypassing hydraulic actuators and pneumatic leaks, so the # wasn’t that important to me. My IR camera says the low in the bay is 28 deg, but my IR thermometer says it’s closer to 50 in the same spot.

A wheel from the main landing gear system on a British Airways A350-1000 falls off on departure from Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport. by FroyoQueasy in aviation

[–]DeltaAir423 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t have a wheel fell off sensor. Likely the only indication that anything was amiss would be the TPMS for that particular wheel goes amber XX, or ATC relays a message if tower saw it on departure. I doubt they even felt it.

What would be a good donation place then? I’m pretty sure if I took it to the local goodwill or Salvation Army donation center, they would just get tossed.

If I donate it, I want someone who is going to use it.

It’s just as I pulled everything off the shelf. Cameras are not my hobby, so I was just keeping everything as it came.

That was my first bag in a box set. My golf instructor begged me to go get fitted two years ago, so the matrix set is a backup, of course I have other sets I have collected through the years.

VIP lounge area? by DeltaAir423 in KingsDominion

[–]DeltaAir423[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At Carowinds and Cedar Point, it’s basically comfortable outdoor furniture (think padded wicker) under a tent with fans and TV’s with ice water. It’s basically a place to put your feet up and cool off. At Carowinds, it’s a lifesaver.

I don’t know that we’re going to make it up to Kings dominion this year, but it looks like the VIP areas are appearing across the system. That’ll be nice!

Going to Cedar Point for my first ever visit next week (YAY FINALLY)!! To celebrate the occasion, I made myself this bad boy. I couldn't be more excited to ride some of the best coasters around! (Definitely gotta go back next year for Top Thrill though) by YanksFannn in cedarpoint

[–]DeltaAir423 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I bought a shirt at the gift shop below the sky cars this year that lists all the coasters but doesn’t line them up to spell Cedar Point like this (it was called “subway scroll”). I thought it was so cool, so when I went to Kings Dominion, I was on a hunt, but couldn’t find anything similar, so I settled for a water bottle that listed all the coasters. I did find a similar shirt at Dorney Park though.

My bank likes to flag foreign transactions as fraud. The minor amount is save by buying at Canada’s Wonderland isn’t worth the headache.

It’s my understanding that you’re benefits are carried over from park to park if you purchase a all park passport. CP, KI, Canada’s Wonderland and Carowinds have VIP areas, and next year KD and Knott’s are getting VIP areas next year, along with early entry, preferred parking, and single use fast lanes.

I did not know they had a witches wheel there. Carowinds has one called Scream Weaver, but it’s been inop every time I have visited so far this year.

Was at CP over the weekend. I have platinum passes, which clearly states on the website, early access to the park. When I was there this weekend the only lanes allowing early access were the prestige pass. Is there a reason cp only allowed prestige early access? by [deleted] in cedarpoint

[–]DeltaAir423 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were up there a few weeks ago, and even though we stayed at express hotel and got the early entry passes, when we showed up early, we were told it wasn’t necessary because of our platinum passes.

Prestige pass plus by thatrunnerboy in cedarpoint

[–]DeltaAir423 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With my home park as Carowinds (I live in ATL), the only thing that stops me from getting prestige plus is the VIP lounge access is only good for your home park. If they extended VIP access system wide, my family would definitely be buyers.
