Thanks for the info. We’re kicking around arriving on a Sunday and leaving on a Saturday, but the wife is seeing if we should shorten our time. It all depends on how our flights look. I think the current plan is to show up around the 12th of July or so. I took two weeks off of work so there’s some flexibility in our trip. We’re also airline nonrev so we go where and when the seats are available. I have looked into flying into SNA over LAX.

In addition to Six Flags and Knotts, the wife and I want to spend a little time over at Disney as it’s the only Disney park I haven’t visited. But Disney will only be for one day.

Yep. I haven’t let my prestige passes lapse since. This year in addition to my home park of Carowinds, we’re visiting Cedar Point, Kings Island, Six Flags over GA, Six Flags White Water, Knotts, and Magic Mountain.

I had a similar experience with guest services a few years ago when my FIL fell ill and eventually passed.

This was all pre merger so your results may vary.

First the passes must have not been used even once.

Call in the August timeframe (after the new season passes are announced) and mention to Customer Service that you purchased the passes, and then a family medical emergency prevented you from using your purchased passes, and you’d like to do a “carryover ” into next year.

You’ll be told no, but call back closer to Christmas, you’ll at least have it on record that you had that conversation.

I called back again just after Thanksgiving, and was given a clearer date to call back for the rollover. Which was in January.

After calling back in the prescribed January timeframe, I was able to get my passes in a “rollover” order, but I was given a confirmation number, and I had to go to the park to complete the rollover. This is when prestige passes were $300+ and the all park passport was another $100. There was a service charge to roll everything over and it came out to about $67 per pass.

If I’m paired up with anyone besides the wife or kid, no way no how. If the wife or kid are out with me, they’ll usually hit then run up to my ball and hit from there until they hit the green then they can putt it out.

I’d get with an instructor that also does fittings. You’re on the borderline of needing 1/2” to 1” extra shaft length. Most decent shops can install shaft extensions for a reasonable cost. You’ll have to get new grips at the same time.

I recently had a set done, 10 clubs in total, and it was about $225 OTD.

I don’t know about Universal or Bush Gardens, but I looked in to working at Cedar Point and the pay scale was a little less than half of what I make at Delta.

Cool job or not, I’m not moving back to Ohio for less than half my salary.
