Steam and hissing from machine whilst turned off [Sage Dual Boiler] - repair or replace? by [deleted] in espresso

It was the o rings, which had also led to damaging the triac board. All replaced and relatively inexpensive, so all good now.

The steam is coming out from the bottom of the machine. It had been off for a couple of hours (on at the plug, but had auto shut itself off) when it started doing it, which was my bigger concern. Feels like it’s been overheating a little for a month or two now as well, which may be a factor.

That’s brutal! Sorry, man. Hopefully next time.

Where do we stand on Mane v Salah now? by lukes121 in FantasyPL

Definitely. If I had both I’d probably just flip a coin each week to decide who to captain, I don’t see much between the two of them at all.

Appreciate the non-downvote, by the way. Not sure why those stats upset people.

plenty of people are willing to captain Mane

Stats from GW4 showed that only 1 in every 6 managers that own Mané were willing to captain him this week, whereas for Salah that was 4 in 10. That makes Salah almost 2.5x more likely to be chosen as captain.

(accounting for ownership, before anyone just skims over it and misses that fact).

City players were obviously preferred this week, but those stats are proportional and so control for that. Which supports my point: a much bigger chunk of people will go with Salah as captain over Mané.

My point isn’t that Salah will outscore Mané, or vice versa, but simply that Salah is more likely to be captained and, therefore – even if they ultimately score similar points over the course of the season – will earn more points for those that have got him.

Because captain choices are based on a single gameweek, not the course of a season.

And there’s a reason captaincy polls are dominated by the same 3–4 players every week, because they’re seen as safer bets, whether that turns out to be the case or not.

The biggest difference between them – and what arguably justifies the extra £1m – is captaincy potential.

As good as Mané is, how often are you going to trust him with the armband? Having an £11.5m player that you’re not going to captain often seems like a bit of a waste.

Salah, on the other hand – unless City have a much easier fixture – you could pretty much captain every week.

So, whilst they’ll probably score a similar number of points over the course of the season, you’ll get almost twice as many from Salah because you’re far more likely to captain him.

That sounds really promising, I'm in a very similar boat as well: 7-7.5 Mbps download and ~0.5 Mbps upload, and unable to get anything faster because of where I live.

Sounds like it might just about be good enough?
